I just finish watching the show and its pretty intersting post your toughts about it.

I liked it, but the way it comes on annoys me and it's weird! Why the heck are they laughing?! And I like the way it goes off even though it's weird with the big pink thing sitting in the middle. I like the ending music for some reason. Everyone's sleeping...it just seems peaceful in a creepy way.

I know I thought the opening was creepy to but funny in a way.

I hated that fat guy reporter.....and the pink bunny/bear thing fraked me out when it started moving.....

yeah i agree the opening was very out of place from the tone of series itself. but hey i like it. i think itll be funny if tsukiko loses the last of her sanity and goes on a killing spree.

Its confusing because each of the Ep is written and directed by someone else.

Yea I took a closer look there not in order.There are 4 people in the series that have'nt been shown yet maybe 3. the 4 or 3 that have'nt been aired yet starting at the boy with the bow tie and ending with the darker shade of purple shirt lady.Maybe the fat guy balled up was the one with the mask.

I love Paranoia agent, I finished it subed like 2 months before it came out here IT'S SO AWEsOME and if your talking about the part where he was captured........ I should stop I'm gonna give it all away.

It comes on Saturdays and Thursdays at 1:00 a.m. And that particular episode was when that Hawaiian looking guy was stealing because these syndicate-like guys were making him pay off something. And one of the times he was stealing lil' slugger hit him in the head. But the Hawaiian looking guy got up and said "That hurt! What ya do that for?!" and started chasing lil' slugger down the street. He caught him and started kicking him. So lil' slugger was arrested. Anyone's welcome to correct me if I'm wrong.

So what happens afterward? I missed yesterdays episode...

I don't know, I recorded it and haven't watched it yet, but when I do I'll let ya know!

There were two Lil Sluggers, the real one is like a phantom thing.....then the copy cat that died....he died because he wanted to be cool....and was scared of being put to jail.....so the real lil slugger killed him......

Ooh! Ooh! I think when the old guy was freaking out at the end of the episode he was freaking out because he had just realized that neither him, Zebra, or Kamome had shadows!!! I think, I just noticed it 'cause I watched again Thursday night.

I noticed something else that Zebra sees the dead body get up and walk around................I think theyre ghosts........

I really don't think there phantoms,phantoms can't buy train tickets or stay at an inn.And that guy at the train station didn't die,he got up and said"I give up".There were also a few people looking at him after he got up so Zebra wasn't the only one who saw him.

But it looked like a crowd of people were still hovered around where the guy jumped. And it looked like Zebra was the only one surprised that a guy that jumped in front of a train got up. But I don't know, how did lil' slugger see them? Maybe somewhere along the episode they had actually died without realizing it. And I still don't get the condoms thing...

yeah....and it said family condoms.........

Well that was the name of the eoisode if i'm not mistaken,so they had to use it somewhere.Thats the only logical explanation I can think of.

I've watched a few episodes of PA. It's similar to Boogiepop Phantom. Both anime have a main re-occuring character (Lil Slugger/Boogiepop) who make people "disappear". Then there are the random people whom you see in one or two episodes, and through the point of view of these characters, the story is told. Also, both are creepy!

indeed................Is that really a book where the girl and guy are in love and the girl is sick and dying like in the last ep. if it is.......I would read it....when Im bored........

Hey, I just started reading this forum and I'm a big fan of the show. I have some stuff I read about the Happy Family Planning episode that I feel might help a little.

Through out the episode, there are little hints as to why each character wanted to kill themselves. For Zebra, after the attempt of hanging themselves goes terribly wrong, you see that Zebra has an opened up locket lying next to him, showing him posing with another man. It's possible that Zebra wanted to kill himself because of relationship problems with this man, or maybe something went wrong. For Kamome, the condoms thing seems to sum it up. Komome must've been an unwanted child in the world, the condoms they show are a cheap, weak brand and Kamome probably has a bad home life. As for Fuyubachi, he seems to have an illness of some kind. They mention him taking his pills.

When the three pose behind the girls in the pictures, their screams are caused by the fact that Fuyubachi, Zebra and Kamome really are dead. If you notice, after Zebra and Fuyubachi take the pills, their shadows are no longer visible through out the episode. Also, with Kamome, after she shows up to where they are, her shadow is no longer visible either. It's possible that after their encounter, and after Zebra and Fuyubachi killed themselves, she killed herself by jumping off of the bridge. As for the fact that they were served in an inn.. I guess in order to make sense of it all, that has to be ignored, haha.

Yay! I said that! I said that Fuyubachi freaked out at the end because he noticed they didn't have shadows! I said they probably died at some point in the episode! Yay!!! Thanks for the clear up! It was still sad though. Can you explain the end of that very last episode? Why was the main character writing chalk things on the sidewalk? And why was his hair white?

Haha, I'm glad I could help. With the last episode, I'm still a little confused on it. I'm guessing his hair is white because he's been working on that gigantic math equation thing for a long time. I really have no idea what the equation symbolizes yet. But when he put that equal sign and his eyes got big, I thought that was possibly the coolest way to end the series.. to leave us guessing.

--Oh yeah, it's also discussed that he took the place of that other old man, the one who was writing out the equation before. Remember him? He was also in the hosptial when the two detectives were in there.

the ast 4 episodes has been scaring the shit outta me. at first i ought it was runng slow but it turned out awesome

All that lil slugger crap ruined the detective's good looks! Such a shame...

is it me or that sleazy guy from the begining when his daughter got bashed on the bridge, was he actually spying on his little girl as she undressed? i just love the way that all the charcters are interrelated somehow, excluded the little slugger part of course. this show is aesome, cant wait for it to hit DVD

it is on dvd!! july 5th it came out, the entire series, check out amazon.. it's about 80 dollars

80 dollars, it's totally worth that much it is one of the greatest series I've ever seen I'm glad that they started putting it on paranoia agent I had been talking about it for a while now everyone can see it's greatness.

It got real scary to me with him growing and what not. Especially that episode about the Chief's wife.

That episode was crazy. I think that's the one I liked the least actually. Because I didn't really know what was going on. But then again, that's how a lot of the episodes are, huh? Haha.

I didn't see the chief's wife episode.............but I did see the last one where it gets all big.....so it was Mimori...the dog...........if that was a little girls fault what can everyone else do?

I'm thinking about buying the set. Anyway, the pink bunny/hippo stuffed animal, it's a dog. The girl who carries it, (sorry i forget names), she's the creator because she used to have a dog by the same name that was killed when she was a child. The dog's death inspired the stuffed animal. The whole story with Lil' Slugger starts and ends with her. When I watched the episode detailing all of this out, I was like, "What are you, insane?" She sort of is, not completely though.

Does anyone know of any Paranoia Agent merchandise? I'd love it if I could buy a shirt or a pin or anything from it.

Best anime I've seen in ages. I LOVE this anime so much! It is just beyond amazing. The intriguing plot and characters was strung together by addictive music.
In most episodes I was totally shocked by what I saw and there were so many funny moments.
Like in I think episode 5 when that policeman gets hit by Lil slugger and the starts kicking the crap out of him. Also at end of ep 11 when this guy sees everything in 2D and you see people on pogo sticks - hilarious! I was freaked out when you saw this old person taking a leak on the street though - very subtle! And when that student starts vomiting out all those math and words.
And when Lil slugger turns into a vampire in ep 12 - that was scary as hell!
It had a lot of clever symbolism too like when Lil Slugger and those policeman go into that virtual reality world and that frog represents that sleazy reporter guy who was imitating women's voices in ep 1!

i loved it, it was always wanna make u learn what was gonna happen next, it was semi unbelievable, i have to admit tho there were a couple episodes where i had no clue how anything started or y it started in the first place, but it strangely in sum impossible way came to a conclusion in the end, of those episodes lol, hard to explain, well, i guess they figured somethings out in a way that it was impossible to figure out, nvm
