Release date was supposed to be 29/07/05 but it has been put back.

I think this was the only Russian submission for the Oscars 2005.

Looks like it could be good, maybe a bit heavy on the CGI though.

I am trying to decide if to buy it on dvd off a Russian site or not.

I think its worth a watch.

The trailer is incredible.

Being that its a trilogy I hope it doesnt go the same way as the Matrix, ie, first ace, 2nd and 3rd utter crap

Well the third part of the trilogy might be bought by an American studio to make last time I heard.

I didn't look at the extras on the dvd, need to find the link again, some russian site.

Going to see this at the cinema on Friday.

The 3rd Part is going to be made by the Americans and will be in english, the deal has been sealed.

Saw this yesterday. The storyline is brilliant and epic, but I couldn't really relate to any of the characters, so it had a limited effect on me. It sets the scene nicely for the sequel though, which should be better.

I was skint last weekend, hopefully going next weekend.

Pretty solid movie I thought. I'll be waiting for the sequel.

Why can't the Russians just make the whole trilogy!

I am gutted, I missed this at the cinema, and I missed The Descent , due to monetary constraints

Anyway, DayWatch is released on DVD today 04/11/05 and in Cinemas on January 01 2006.

The 3rd (US) installment will unsurprisingly be called DuskWatch

Are you sure it's released on dvd today because the second film is still in post production... and released in cinemas on that date in January, so what's with the dvd?
