if you know who handmaiden is then you have to know who visas is.

she was nihilus' apprentice, the last of a blind species who see through the force. she was sent to kill the exile but ended up joining him/her. if youre a guy in the game you can have a romance plot with her, or handmaiden for that matter. and the handmaiden is the girl you pick up from atris' secret academy on telos. you can train her to be a jedi in the game......

Although Visas is more skilled in the force, her basic training started with the Exile... Before that her biggest purpose was to see she probably had training but nothing really big Nihilus had no real reason to train her, and you see that by how weak she is when she confronts you on the Hawk.

Handmaiden had Echani training her entire life however and is really good without the force, she would own Visas with it. She might have a chance without it too. Echani were known to be great fighters and nobody thought Revan would beat the most powerful of the Echani.
