Okay guys, this is the thread where we'll be playing the first storyline I've got. It's going to be an introduction to the game, for you guys and me, so bear with me.

The game starts outside the Principal's office. All of you missed the first day of school yesterday, so you've come to get you timetables. You've been moved in to sit on a row of chairs in a thin corridor that leads to the principal's office from the admin area.

Currently it's just the six of you - Allor, Brad, Vlad, Zak, Joe and Tyler. By coincidence, you all get the same bus to school. Whilst those of you from the area may have been in the same school as the one or two of the others, you don't know each other. The skaters may have seen each other at the park a couple of times, but you had different friendship groups back then. Brad and Joe met once at a birthday party, but you guys didn't really have a chace to talk.

The secretary comes back and tells you her name, Miss Wainwright, and that as the principal is taking an important phone call,
"Maybe you should get to know one another."
Straight away you all realise she's one of those people who has no idea about friendship groups, who thinks children all get along together. Well, you've got nothing better to do.

Just for the minute, socialise. Get to know one another's characters - but remember, I control the NPCs! I'll be posting up the next bit in a while - no later than tomorrow.

Zak was sitting next to a pretty hot girl. He decided to speak up and stop the silence.

"Hey, what's your name?" he asked her.

"My name's Allor....you?" she answered.

"Zak..."

Tyler sat on the far end chair looking down the rows he saw some more skaters.

~Looks like ive got some competition....~He thought. He wriggled in his chair until he got comfy and sat there quietly waiting for the principle.

"Hey guys, The name's Brad nice to meet you all"

Tyler looked down the row."Sup...The names Tyler."

Vlad raises an eyebrow. "Wassup!? The name's Vlad"

"Sup Vlad...Im Tyler...As you may know but oh well..."

Vlad looked over at his backpack, which held two rollerblades dangling down from him. He sighed. He rather be blading outside then sitting here.

Joe looked around the room, realizing he may be stuck in school with a bunch of idiots. Oh well. Better to make friends than enemies. He stood up and introduced himself as simply Joe. He'd always liked his first name. Short, consise, and powerful, like himself.

"Man...I wish i was blading...This is just to boring...."

"Yeah, Bladers are okay in my book" Zak said. Most Skaters he knew didnt like them but he was fine with it. "Man, I don't want to start school....I wish it were summer forever... Almost everyday this summer i was at the new skatepark....it was so rad"

"Hey Joe, I recognise you, have we met before?"

"Oh yeah.. I remember, we met at that disaster of a birthday party, hows it going?

Just introduce yourself to the others. Guys, remember, people control their own characters. If it becomes really nesscessary, I'll do it. Anyway, on with the story.

(Restarting with Al.)

Allor sat slumped in her chair. She arched an eyebrow at Zak before rolling her eyes. She sat up and pulling a pen from her pocket began writing on her shoes.

The arrival of another student interrupts you conversationa. He's a little weedy kid who visibly pales as you all turn to look at him. Miss Wainwright gives you an inane smile,
"This is Steven. He only arrived in town this morning but he didn't want to miss school," at this Steven winces, but Miss Wainwright continues, unnoticing, "So he needs to get his timetable like you."

Three others come in pretty soon - a Goth called Karl and two fashion-conscious Preps, Rachel and Amber. Ten minutes or so later a kid dressed in really baggy jeans and longish hair kept under a baseball cap saunters in. He introduces himself as Alex with a smile.

Now's the time to pick allegiances and create some bonds. Talk to the NPCs (non-player characters) and I'll control them. All of you have heard it's a good idea to get to a start of school party and by now you know getting to one is a big deal in this area. However, you don't know who's holding it or how to get invited! So it's probably a good idea to find out at one point or another (not nesscessarily now).

Like I say, this is the game intro. I'll teach you the rules and get to learn your characters. Sorry for any hiccups - it is the first time I've GMed a game!

Vlad couldn't help laughing a little as he saw a student writing something on her shoe. He shook his head before coming up to Karl. Vlad had good reputation with Goth, he should atleast see it. "So, I heard there's a party going on..." said Vlad.

Would you really just say that to somebody? I'm trying to make it kinda realistic - you don't know the guy.

Karl looks at you a moment, suprised by the statement,
"Yeah, I guess. Chandler'll be having a party, as always."

Vlad nodded before reaching out his hand "My name's Vlad" said Vlad.

Brad over hearing this convosation decided that he would work on getting himself invited, but for the moment he was more interested in one of the prep chicks (Amber), so he stood up and walked over and sat down next to her

"Hey, I'm Brad"

Vlad knew that the best way to get invited is to befriend a prep. Plus, that other one looked hot. Vlad turned around and walked to the other prep, Rachel. "Hey! My name's" Vlad"

Karl looks at your hand a moment, considering. Then he reaches out and takes it,
"Karl, but you already know that."

Amber looks at Brad and smiles,
"Amber."

This was the first tim I've had to do rolls based on stats. For Brad, it was Appearance, but Vlad rolled on Charisma, because they were already engaged in conversation. This is fortunate, since for Amber to want to talk to you, it was difficulty 8. For Karl to accept Vlad's handshake, however, it was difficulty 9.

On the positive die for Brad, I rolled a 5, and on the negative, 4. Add to this his Appearance, and we get an 8. Since equal to or surpassing the difficulty counts as a pass, Amber accepted it.

For Vlad, however, I got a 1 on the positive die. Convinced he was going to fail, I then rolled a 3 on the negative. Add to that the +1 of his reputation, and it's a grand total of 10. A pass as well! It was a good choice to have such a high charisma. Apologies on the lack of posts this weekend - a lot of revision for GCSEs.

"See you around" said Vlad before turning around, seeing Rachel, and considering she is hot and it was the beggining of a new year, why not get a date? Vlad began to walk towards Rachel, once coming up to her he said, "The name's Vlad."

Rachel looks up and down at Vlad,
"Um... Hi." She obviously isn't pleased you're talking to her. Nor does she seem impressed with Brad, but that's not her choice.

I won't do this every time, but now Vlad had to make a difficulty 12 roll on Appearance. He got 9+2-3. 8. A fail. No real ill effects, though. Anyway, I have to go. Sorry guys, but I'll be on more constantly after my exams (which are next week).

Alex gives you an easy smile,
"Nah, could never get the energy. Prefer just to mess about off a board."

Vlad chuckeled a little. "So are you doing anything this week?" he asked.

Zak looked around... He saw a skater talking to another boy. He had heard the skaters name was Vlad. "Sup Vlad" he said... He also did the 'Sup' head motion towards Alex as he was walking towards them.

(You assume right! I have character profiles for all these people, as well as a bit of a chracter description. Some are more important that others, in the school scene.)

Steven replies to Joe, a flush blooming across his face,
"Yes. My parents moved here because my dad got a new job in the company," he paused, "Have you lived here long?"

"No harm in it though, I guess. Rachel's cold, plus she only gets up for guys on the football team."

Vlad, Rachel tells you,
"Yes, I guess I probably am. What's it to you?"

"Nothin, just asking. Are you going to that party which is coming up?"

"I think your friend is in a bit of trouble, being harassed about the party, poor girl"

Yeah, have her talk to us or something....There will be no dust eating on your part today.....

Allor looked up at all the people talking and automatically felt like this was going to be one helluva lonely year. Sighing, she recapped her pen and slid it into her pocket. She looked at her watch. "Hmmm, that class scedule would be nice about now she thought as she started drumming on her knees.

Allor looked at Joe. "Yeah, my family just moved here a couple weeks ago." She tells him fiddling with her rings twisting them.

Joe nodded. "Where from?" he inquired politely.

Zak was listening in on everyone conversations from where he was standing...he knew there was going to be a party....and he had heard two names...Kyle and Chandller....He was wondering if it were two party's with two different people or if someone named Kyle Chandller was having the party.....

Allor smirked. "Well the last time, we moved from Chicago." she shrugs. "I'm use to it though." she sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "So do you think we'll ever get our schedules?"

"I don't know...this is taking forever...." Zak said

Allor sighed. "Great." she says rolling her eyes.

*Tyler sighs and sits back down in his chair.*"Sheesh....What could take so long?..."

"Well, being in a very overpopulated highschool might have to do with it." Allor says. "The principal is a very busy pi. . .er. . .man." she says catching her mistake.

*laughs*"Nice save..."

Allor gives her famous half-smile.

"Man, I'm seriously contemplating going in there and getting my stuff. It's almost 2nd period!" Zak exclaimed

"Calm down. If we're late it's not our fault." Allor says. "Why are you in such a rush anyways?"

"Man, its only second period..."

Vlad who has retreated from his conversation with Rachel faced the trio who were talking. "Well, who wants to go blading after the periods?" he asked.

Allor smiled. "Seriously? I would kill to." then she groaned. "Can't. My parents are throwing this huge dinner party and iviting all the neighbors." she sighs.

"Tough luck. On Lunch period maybe then?"

Allor looked as though she was thinking it over. She looked at Joe and Zak.

Vlad sat down, picking up his bookback with the blades on them, he fuddled inside it until he found something to use as a pick for his guitar, he picked up his guitar case. "Well as I think this is going to take some time. I might as well" he said oppening it and pickin it up.

~I guess Vlad can play a guitar since I added guitar playing as one of his hobbies.~

((okay... WHY would you carry your guitar with you everywhere you go?))

(THey just came to school, so he didn't have time to put it somewhere, and he took it since there is such thing as music class)

You'd really take a guitar on your first day of school? Ah well, I guess. Sorry about the lateness - like I said, I have exams, so I'm busy most of this week.

A couple of minutes later, the door to the principal's office opens and a tall man walks out. Gray hair and glasses, his face is lined with wrinkles - presumaby a hazard of the job - and looks round at you.
"Well, I apologise about that. That was the state school supervisor," he laughs, "Trying to fob off more students on me, as if we didn't have enough. I'm Mr Maxwell, the principal. Come on in."

He turns, leaving you to follow him into what is a deceptively large office. As you all array yourselves in front of his desk he walks over to a filing cabinet and pulls out several files. Opening one after the other, he places a sheet of paper onto his desk for each file. When they are all there, he closes the open drawer and locks it, leaving the files on his desk, which he then perches on the side of. Catching you glance at him, he simply says,
"Personnel records. They'll go back with the others in the admin system. Anyway, these are your timetables, based on the choices you made when you moved here.

"But, before I give them to you, I have to tell you what you missed yesterday. We had an assembly in the lecture hall, and I gave you a few ground rules. What I don't like to see is kids like yourselves splitting up into gangs, and wearing gang colours. That's okay for other schools in the coast cities, but out here we like to have it simple.

"For that reason, we encourage you to socialise with other students of different background. I know it's tradition for there to be a few parties at the start of term, and I encourage you to go to them. Mix with people, get to know them, and we'll have none of the rivalry nonsense that almost came about two years ago."

He smiles, "But enough of that. Here you go, your timetables. You can miss first and second period, so just go straight to the lunch hall."

Right, we need a pause in the game briefly. You guys need to choose lessons - everyone does the basic English, Maths and Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). Now, the day is split into four 1-and-a-half hour periods, with lunch at 12:10 (for you guys). The timetables are on a two-day basis, so you have another five lessons. I'm going to have everyone do Sport too, but the other four lessons you can choose out of this list.

Feel free to suggest others - however, there is not many intentionally - I want players to still be in contact. If you could choose and post in the Registration thread, that'll make things easier.

Having been ushered out by Miss Wainwright, you make your way to the cafeteria - a big square room, with several different shops open at the end. Instead of lots of shorter tables you had in your old schools, the tables here are much bigger. Vending machines line one wall.

Ergh... No Calculus? And quick question, What do they call the different kinds of English classes in that school?

I will take Philosophy, Spanish, American History, Physics

Put Math in advanced science too.

English is just general, but if you really want to you can take creative writing. Actually, that is an option. I'm not sure what it is called in America, though. Creative writing class.

American History , Sport, Biology, And well... Either British or French.

British... That's not a language.

British is the same as old English. So in other words, I will either take English or French.

Well English is creative writing. It's up to you - but you already have to do some english.

Philosiphy, chemistry, Dance-to help with the skating-, Italian.

"His name is Karl." she says leaving off the normal and he's pretty hott too.

"Well... My third periods going to be Band." said Vlad looking down at his timetable after finishing it. "I guess I'll see you on Lunch period" he said nodding towards Allor.

"Hey Alex...Whats your schedule? Im taking dance 3rd period...To...Help with my skating..."

No, wait guys. I made a timetable to sort this out, so you all know where you are in the gand scheme of things.

"I'm taking computer studies, advanced physics, advanced math, and American History," Steven says.

"Yeah, I know." Allor says. She shrugs. "There are some good bands down here."

"I'm... Well I came here two years ago from Russia." said Vlad.

"yeah....I have a goal. To skate everywhere. Every country sometime in my life. Ive skated in USA, Canada, Mexico, England, and France. My family likes to travel." Zak said with a smile

Allor laughed behind her hand at Joe's comment. "They have some good onion rings."

"No offense, but Burger King sucks. Jack in the Box is where it's happening."

((Hey Trickster... any chance of changing my stats around a bit at this point?))

Allor glared. "I have a very good reason for not eating there." she bushed slightly. "I'm band from it's facility and vacinity indefinitely."

Vash tried not to laugh, but let out a chuckle. "Bad reputation with them huh"

Allor nodded. "Broke three windows and six employees. Scared customers off with a bone projecting from my knee. It was fake though."

Vlad laughed. "The best I could do is accidentaly trip an employee with a bottle of beer, about two other employees slipped, and a custormer fell onto the sharp edge of the glass."

Allor shrugged. "Yeah, my mother wasn't so happy aout the law suit."

"The wound wasn't that bad... So with a sorry lie that I can't talk English, they let me go without any law suit's."

At this point the bell rings, signalling the end of fourth period. Students stream into the cafeteria, and Karl stands up, looking at a group of Goths that just entered,
"See you guys later sometime."

Amber and Rachel stand up, and Rachel moves off without a look backward. Amber flashes a smile to Brad as she leaves, then hurries after Rachel. Steven looks around, and with a glum look on his face returns to his food.

Alex stands up and stretches,
"See you guys in a bit. Just gotta get some food from the cafes and catch up with the guys."
He's really talking to the skaters, but he leaves as well, leaving you all with each other. It's obvious who the coolest of cool are within each group, although nobody has been chosen for the school team all the likely players are sitting together, as are a lot of preppy girls - the new cheerleaders?

Most people have headed to the cafes, coming back with tacos and other lunch foods. The groups behin to form up. Your choice now - stay together or not.

Zak stood behind Allor in the lunch line. He thought he knew her the best out of everyone he had seen that morning.

"Hey," he asked her, " who are you sitting with?"

~Erghh... Ok, Tall, athletic, blonde, and good hair due ~

ALlor shrugged. "I'll probably sit with myself because I'm not sure who to sit with."

Allor nodded. "Thanks, Brad." she says giving him a small smile before turning around and seeing how much longer they had. "Man I'm about ready to sabotage this line."

Brad laughed "That would be very entertaining to watch"

Allor smiled. "You really don't know me too well."

"yeah ill sit with you guys too if that's okay." Zak said

Allor nodded. "Cool with me." she says tapping the long blonde haired jock in front of her. He was a good five inches taller. "Can you see the front of the line?"
