My friend was actually friends with two of the members of lost prophets. I remember meeting them, before they were famous, at the "Engine Room" in houston. Met them after the show got them to sign a poster. Pretty cool band.

My favorite band is Nirvana, Technically the best band in the world doesn't exist since everyone has differing tastes in music. As far as being well known is concerned, it's probably the Beatles.

Some people might THINK that, but that doesn't really mean that they are correct.

I don't say it because Tool are my favourite.

I say it because I genuinely believe they are.

Bon Jovi! you just cant beat him, have you heard their new demo song that they played at American Music Awards? that was very sweet song! also GNR are top lvl band, maybe not as good as Bon Jovi, but still it has eared its place in rock history, and I love some of their songs very much, word has it that their Chinnese Democryse albume will be out for Xmas :9 and with Bon Jovi's new albume coming out in Sep its just like the 80's hope both the albumes will rock! also hre is a list of my fav bands top5 that is

Definitely The Ramones, although their management has sold 'Em out in recent years.

Best band in the world not U2 definetly not Bon Jovi there just overated, in my opinion anyway. Duno bout Green day either.

Id probaly say the Beatles, Ramones, Red Hot Chilis, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Doors, The Clash.

But Id have to say Nirvana are the best band because of what they did in like the space of 6 years which was prety amazing. but thats just my opinion.

Considering 7 of the 8 bands you mentioned are no longer in the world, I can only express puzzlement as to how you engineered the conclusion of them being candidates for the best bands in the world.

Nirvana were overrated anyway. They were really good but they weren't even the best out of the bunch that got lumped together.

What did they actually do? Can anyone answer that? Besides being told that they're the best and they're legendary (which they are). Does anyone wanna formulate a theory as to why? Because I swear everyone says it without even bothering to look. If you did, you'd see they're not the best.

What did they do in the space of 6 years then? Besides release one legendary album. Coz if we're talking about actively changing music, I could name a guy by the name of Mike who does more in a year than Nirvana, or most bands could do in 6.
