Or maybe that was for Gambit. Well...

Apparently he did Rush Hour or something?

Mr. Smiley same here. I'm kinda losing Faith.
The rush hour movies were kinda lame.
Hoe can fox actually make a decission so fast.
I hope this guy has what it takes.

I liked them too,but with xmen I just don't know.

Mix Rush Hour with Red Dragon.
Oh boy this is going to be one hell of a ride.Pray to God it goes well.

buffymitch
I don't think mixing rush hour with red dragon is such a good idead the result would be broken lizard's club dread

mr.smiley
LOL (or screams)

That's probably true....................... sad confused

Yeah! They were awesome! Don't worry guys, I think he'd do an even better job than Singer...

I liked them, but because of the actors and story, the directing wasnt anything to write home about... those movies the director doesnt matter so much IMO...

On the other hand Red Dragon is one of those heavily director driven movies and it was pretty crap I think.

DarthLazious
Good choice for a director for X3.....I hope he does a good job just like Singer did for the other two X-Men movies or maybe better.

mr.smiley
I think the action will be more explosive with Ratner in charge.

munkiesarus
Probably. Let's hope he sticks around.

Rush Hour was with Danny Glover or something, right?

mr.smiley
Rush Hour was Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.

Well, the way I figure, X3 will have better fighting sequences because I think he directs them well...

the interplay between chan and tucker made rush hour great i agree...

red dragon was as good if not better than hannibal imo...

its hard to do a bad fight scene when you have jackie chan in your team...

i dunno... i really don't...

Fionnuala
I didn't realise they had appointed someone new...slightly worried about Ratner...though Rush Hour was a good, fun movie...

I so wanted Vaughn to do this cry

buffymitch
it sounds like you guys here are dissapointed in the fitght scenes from the movie. i liked the wolverine/sabretooth and wolverine/deathstrike fight scene. i even liked the really short one with cyclops in x2. I'm not that big a fan of ratner. the rush hour movies in my opinion really sucked. i see them as a lethal weapon rip off. after the sunset was kinda ok.

x2's fight scenes were ok... the cyclops one was a tad short... but it has to have more... fantastic action... look at spidey... on sky scrapers and trains... fantastic four... lobbing cars across streets...

buffymitch
you have a point. the only thing i hope is that he doesn't screw up this movie.

I think the action Bryan Singer gave us was more gritty and realistic.Ratner will probably bring it more into the comic realm, esepcialy with Juggernaut and Beast.I loved the action in X2 (you can't get better than wolverine in the mansion),but Ratners take will be interesting to see. He'll probaly be better at directing a "team" oriented battle.

munkiesarus
I was going through my old Wizard magazines from a couple of years back (Issues 130 to 39, sorta) and there was a small article on the Superman movie.

You guys won't believe this.

This is a news article from a couple of years ago, three I think...

Ratner was supposed to be directing the Superman movie Singer went to.

He was signed on in the VERY VERY VERY early stages.

Oh, the irony! I re-read the passage SO MANY TIMES...augh!

reality sucks (just kidding but a little more comicbook in the movies couldn't hurt) give me lord Apocaypse and have angel wings get F**Ked up so he can become Archangel..for the love of god!!!!!

mr.smiley
Doubt all of that will happen. If you look in X2 though, you see Angels wings where Wolverine fought Deathstrike. It's backround pictures right before the fight. Also on the special features. smile

They make it look like Stryker implanted Angel (or possibly another mutant) with adamantium wings.
