I like maul better than you, and even i can own up to him losing. come on, move on.

I would have to say Maul is better with a lightsaber. If he can attack Vader quickly and efficiently, he might be able to pull it off. I mean, if Vader decides to force choke Maul, all Maul has to do is force push him and make him lose his grip.

Maul is fast but Vader's strong. Vader also packs a huge puch. Maul can do all his tricks but eventually he will have to actually fight and thats where Vader owns. Plus he would probably just force choke him before they even started the fight. There are just so many ways Vader can win.

You obviously havent read many threads because I make tons of thourogh and good posts that back up my oppinions. So don't call me a newb because I've barely even depated with you and you havent seen my common good posts.

Maul died in that fight with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. Remember ? Maul is just too arrogant and too dumb.
If he has to fight pre suit Vader, he will die because of being less powerful. If he has to fight "mecha Vader" he will die because Vader will outsmart him.

I have already gone over the force choking part. If Vader wants to choke Maul, all Maul has to do is force push him.

Like Dipsit explained once. Vader is immensly masterful with the force. Vader doesent need a saber to win this. He either force chokes, force push's off ledge or into pillar, lightning, object force throw, and the list goes on.

All he can do is Force choke non-Force users (like Maul) and use telekinesis mid-battle (like Maul) and he did throw his lightsaber once which I'm pretty sure Maul would dodge and then press the advantage so Force powers are really useless here. Vader's strength would help but Maul does have a double-bladed lightsaber so he can attack twice as often, he's faster, and a better duelist in general. Maul is more powerful but it's possible Vader might take advantage of Maul's only weakness: his arrogance.

As for the clone Maul fighting Vader, firstly Maul was winning and Vader won by thrusting the lightsaber through HIMSELF and into Maul. Next, it was a clone. Who knows what they did to it, Boba and Jango are different for instance so the Maul clone would really not have the training and would thereby be less powerful.

more powerful in the Force than Maul? probably, but even if he is it isn't enough to make a difference. Look at Yoda vs. Dooku, Yoda's way more powerful in the Force but it didn't help him in the fight once they used the lightsabers.

he did win the fight though. dooku ran away because he knew he was going to lose. read the book.

Obviously, but they were fighting with lightsabers, my whole point was Vader being more powerful in the Force wouldn't help him much against Maul.

well vader was throwing shit at luke while fighting, and if they were real(not just movie magic) i believe he wuld use this kind of power to his advantage more, u know? i think maul would go insane though. idk.

maul would win it takes a skilled swordsman to use a double-bladed lightsaber all maul would have to do is turn his saber into a one bladed saber and much faster and more powerfull strikes also how do we actualy no how strong maul was in the force he must off had some power in it to be recruited by sidious so maybe hecould also use force lightning and such

i dont doubt maul could use lightning if he spent more time on his force training than lightsaber, he could learn it in like a week( that is if he didnt already know it, and we just never saw him use it)

Maul wins this. Vader would be cocky try to take him saying **** the force choke and then Maul would overwhelm him.

vader cannot use lightning and i think maul could kill mecha vader if it comes to saber duel because maul is superior there but if it isnt mecha vader than i have to say vader would win,,anyway vader is better in the force

so, um r yall saying that because vader only beat obi wan, and that fight was slow as ****, that maul, who u could say beat a younger obi wan (who used the dark side a bit) would gett killed by the old fart on life support?

Anyways, down to my opinion.

Maul is the victor. Although Vader is powerful, Maul has mastered Lightsaber skills and i think Vader would get chopped.

I say they would tie. Maul is faster but vader does have a "kendo like" technic and a vast knowledge of the force.

becuz......as i said....the comic was lamE.

i dont know much, but in the movie.. did not maul die because of inpreparence? he was not ready when he got struck down, and he was probably tired after fighting two, quite strong jedis. by the way, was his sabre not cut of? because he has trained in double bladed sabre he must have got abit weaker when he had 2 sabres instead of one big.

I have noticed jedis almost never strike vertical..I think it would be much better, because of that is harder to block..

Maul is Pony, He only lasted one movie. Vader would destroy him without trying.

Darth vader would win easy. Vader could block whatever Maul threw at him, be it saber, force, etc. Vader is just too damn powerful.

Maul Vs. Vader.
Timeline: Between Empire strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
EU timeline: After the events of shadows of the empire.

Darth Vader was unsatisfied with the many droids he had trained to hone his skills with a sabre. The last, he had destroyed within 10 standard seconds. No matter how many times the programmers insisted their machines could learn in combat, insisted an increase in technique, they proved worthless. Vader enhanced his kill time with each of the twenty units until finally there were none left. At 255,000 Imperial credits apiece, that was no small amount, no matter how wealthy he was. The challenge was gone, the chance to gain skill, non-existent.
Vader had heard the rumors throughout his term as the Empires second in command. No one, of course, would ever confront him with it, including Palpatine, but they remained none the less. They ate away at his soul and increased his capacity to hate. While a good thing, increasing the hate would increase his power, it needed to be settled once and for all. In the back of his own mind, the part that remained in the flesh, doubt would dare creep upon him.
He had seen the Sith Lord in action, as a boy on Tatooine, and had eventually learned Qui-Gon Jinn, was murdered by his blade. Vader never witnessed that fight but heard the stories that Obi-Wan would rehash, over and over. For the record, Vader was slow because 4, 5, and 6 were made almost 30 years ago. Of course everone is going to seem better then Vader. Plus Vader took a direct hit from Luke's lightsaber in the ESB and all he did was scream a little. That suit is stronger then you think.

Ya know other jedi can block force attacks.
Let me remind u that maul has agility, so he would dodge many objects coming his way, also, he has a two bladed saber so he would maybe even slash any thing force thrown at him. Face it, vader is to slow for maul. If it was anakin ROTS, maybe they outcome would be slightly different, but for now vader has nothing on him powerful enough to defeat maul, his force choke would do him no good anyway.

plus the 567 movies were made in the 70's and had no cgi i bet if their was decent cgi vader would do alot more tricks and vader would proberbly block alot of mauls moves and would wear maul down cause vader is main robot so i dont think he would get tired.

You don't know much do you? Maul had Force choke too and that power is very ineffective against other Force users. You said Vader wouldn't get tired? Have you seen ROTJ when Luke, a Jedi knight, whooped his ass so bad in 40 seconds that Vader was choking for oxygen? Maul was stronger than a Jedi master and a Jedi knight team at the same time. Vader's only chance is to use Maul's arrogance against him.

Vader would overpower Maul with the force. Dooku did force choke on Obi-Wan in ROTS and we saw how immune he was.

That was not Force choke, he grabbed his body with teliknesis and flung him across the room.

I say Vader....he would over power Maul with Form V.

You did not hear Obi-Wan grasping for air and his face looked like he was being choked just like when Anakin choked him.

Vader's already won And dont dare say 'But that's EU', cos have the evidence your saying are based on EU.

oh bullshit. Vader fought a clone of Maul, not the real thing. Clones are different, Jango and Boba and the clone troopers are all different, Jorus and Joruus, Luke and Luuke, the Emperor and his clones, they're all different.
