I noticed that a great deal of the threads in this forum have to with American issues. Although there are issues that are universal (i.e abortion, stem cell research, homosexuality, etc.) a number of them concern American politics and events.

However what boggles my mind is that a large number of KMC members aren't American. Many are Canadian, Irish, German, etc. Of course this not to demean the few threads that DO deal with non-American issues (i.e. Canadian issues, the British election) however they are far and between.

Anyone else have thoughts?

non-americans just don't make much threads about politics, they have a more: "lets keep it to ourselfs"-attitude

ssshhh...dont tell them that...just keep it to ourselves

That and to a lot of people aren't fans of the US and people in general like to gossip. We are currently an easy target with the war, Bush, and other sh!t.

Mostly because most of the members are americans, and because in every country in the world's news they talk about american issues, and sometimes english issues.... but thats mostly it.
Well that and the fact that since America is the 'greatest' (meaning "bigger" in many senses) country, most of the things that happen there affect other countries aswell

But kidrock you who indicates USA is the greatest country to live in, how many other countries have you lived in to make a comparison?

I would think that because the U.S. has a view policies that are heavily affecting the world and because currently many countries are blitzed with U.S. media, that that would all lend to more discussions about the U.S.

Hey, I finally found an international story that doesn't focus on the USA.

I am America, And I think its a great place to lived in,

I was in South Korea for 3 years, and sure I enjoy my time there, But I was relly home sick.

I would like to mention that the whole America/Americans this and that is boring. And GDF is becoming a lot less interesting place since the number of political (American-politics) threads has risen

I honestly see no point for existence of like 10 (just guessing number) threads about Mr Bush, and his decisions etc.

Also as mentioned already Europeans don't like discussing politics, they (we) prefer to avoid this kind of topics.


erm... btw i've made a thread about EU constitution some time ago, so POST THERE

EU sucks

not all countries has strong enough economy to be able to 'not-be' in EU

Well to be fair I hardly post on those thread. I really don't see the point anymore. And is interesting you mention Poland. That is a nation with a lots and lots of political history in it. It would be interesting to hear more about Polish politics.

I disagree...most of the threads that are stioll in use are about different topics, I don't know if on the later pages are double threeads...possible...but the threads we talk aboot are not the same...

We have the Homosexuality: Chosen or Genetic and the Christian Camp and the 12 Reasons...the one is news because it just came up the other is a whole different thing where you talk something concerning homosexuality and the 12 Reasons is a satirical thread. (Plus that is not an American Issue, only)

Are you a feminist.....and which other one....Possible that there is oen but who cares what threads are on page 400....(plus it is not an American Issue, only)

This implies that you have a problem with the current state of the GDF....especially because of American threads...this is a not existant problem since there aren't that many same threads

You opened the constitution thread....of course it won't stay forever but there wentt some talking on...but you see what you are saying is that there should be on e thread for Femminism one for Homosexuality one for American Politics and one for Abortion....that wouldn't be a lot of talking here then would it...its good as it is...if you want to talk aboot something else you are free to say that open a thread if it is interesting people will post.....but the only interesting threads in the GDF so far are the American Politics and the Science and Ethics threads.

i like the science threads..but i don't feel like repeating the same for no idea how many times
