An interesting question. If a person has force choke versus a person who has force lightning, who wins? (This does not include any saber skills.)

Well, you can't concentrate on electricuting when you're being choked. On the other hand, you can't concentrate on choking when you're being electricuted.


That being said.....Force choke seems to kill people a lot, and quite quickly. Force lightning on the other hand, has never killed anyone on-screen.(IMHO, Vader doesn't count because with the emperor dead, he was as good as dead, so the lightning didn't do it. Mace doesn't count either, because he got thrown out the window, therefore was most likely still alive after being electricuted, and the fall killed him). So i say, in the end......lightning is a slight bit cooler, but choke ( from what i have seen) would win.

Unless of course....the person starts to choke them, then starts to get electricuted, and can't concentrate. Unless they're powerful......oh f*ck it, im going to say it's a tie, or choke barely wins.

Doesn't this depend on the person, location, and motivation?

I think the force lightning takes more power, but it isn't as effective

i'd say force choke too. i mean other than that it would win its also a symbol in starwars universe.

Force lightning. First you could just throw them around with it. Second and more important, it's not only extremely painful but it also weakens their connection to the Force.

Really just depends on who starts...

force choke it can't be blocked.

Well it can't be blocked, but it can be undone with Force Push...I still go with Choke though...

you cant throw them around with lightning.......ever occur to you that dooku used force-throw, while blasting him with lightning?

Sidious did that to Mace to, and he pushed Yoda back with it, and it does that on Jedi Academy so yeah, I think you can do it with lightning.

And Force choke can be resisted without Force push, Streen did it against Exar Kun's spirit.

that whole "undone with Force Push" is crap IMO. Just a little something in Jedi Academy. But i suppose this being EU here it should count...i don't know...just sounds incredibly stupid to me for one reason or another.

Its still resisted threw the force, the two people fighting here don't have the force just one force attack

force choke seems more efficient in killing faster. plus i like the ominous sound when force choke is being used.

i do think force lightning is cool, and more advanced.

choke is much cooler

Agreed. IMO Force Choke is MUCH cooler. however, in power terms, i'm not sure if it's more powerful. Not to mention to me it seems MUCH more original than Force Lightning. i mean how many heroes/villains have some sort of lightning effect? A LOT. How many have some sort of choke effect? Not so many...

lightning maybe makes more damage but choke is SOOO COOL!!i love it
