Koreans really have a very wide imagination, anyone likes korean horror films? I watch them all the time I just forget the names cuz they're like "Bodishinta" or stuff like that wacko
I recently saw this movie about a girl and her mother move to the girl's mother hometown, and then the girl is possesed by this sicko girl who lived in the town around 20 years ago, and the girl's mother becomes possesed by the sicko's mother... it was really fun but not scary erm

Korean horror movies are great. I reckon they're scarier than most other countries' horror movies.

IceWithin
yeah I luv 'em

I think Korea has made some good ones, they even made their own version of "The Ring"...

IceWithin
really?? I saw the original "The Ring" it's a japanese film... it was good but not AS good as the american one... the special effects on the american version were much better than the ones in the japanese version

MildPossession
It's called Ring Virus.

A Tale of Two Sisters is one of my favourites from Korea.

As for the Japanese Ringu, it will always be better over the remake to me, and as for the effects, the makeup on the ghost/girl WAS better than the horrible remake cgi one.

IceWithin
i dont agree

Zzzzzzzz....

Saw "H" this afternoon. Fantastic movie, just way too slow paced for me to ever consider watching again.

MildPossession
Glad you liked H, decent movie.

KOrean cinema is really taking off latily. A little while ago "Sight and Sound" magazne were talking about Korean new waves due to the popularity of the films.

There was a Korean movie that was in cinemas in Australia recently called "Old Boys" or something. Was it a horror?

MildPossession
Oldboy, not a horror, but a good film!

jnr hiphop
It had lots of killing and violence in it didn't it?
Man I really wanted to see this film but it was R18+. Damn.

feral cat
I thought H was a pretty poor movie myself, very cleche and pretty much a retread of ground coverd better in several western movies

MildPossession
Westerns? do explain.

feral cat
LOL movies made in the west, not westerns as in cowboy movies

H

MildPossession
Oh... just mention the countries next time 8-)

jaden101

Most of the South Korean films that I like are a mix of horror, psychological thriller, and/or supernatural thriller.

You must be talking about Bushinsaba (Ouija Board). I just watched that last night and as you said it wasn't all that scary, but it was kind of amusing. I don't know if it was supposed to be, though. =P
