Bossk aint average, that's why he was one of the few Vader selected to find the Falcon. Zam blows, she would die.

Bossk wasn't selected by Vader, he just answered the call and took the job. The only two hand picked by Vader where Boba and IG 88 because if you read the Han Solo series Boba has hunted and been rivals with Solo even before the fourth episode and still was after ROTJ (if you read the book you find out he never died) so he kinda accepted the job without question seeing that he could kill his rival for some mulah. IG-88 on the other hand was just plain good.
