It changes Reguarly but at the moment i would go with Lynard Skynard.

you forgot Deep Purple there but well , in my case Led Zeppelin would be the 70's band, i love the way Page plays his guitar

Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Sabbath, The Doors, Deep Purple, Queen and Band of Gypsies (Although the last two are technically only just qualify given the fact that Hendrix died in 1970 and the Doors didn't last much longer....) Zep in pole position right now though...
