KMC seems screwed.
For the past two days when I've tried to post on anything, after about two minutes, a Nortons pop-up box comes up, saying an intrusion attempt has been detected, then KMC goes 'Page not found' and white screens...
Doesn't happen with any other websites

I've gotten the same message for the past couple of days whenever I try and do a search.

nothing like that happened to me.

It happens to me sometimes too.

I can be browsing KMC, then all of a sudden it lags and says that KMC could not be detected or that the operation timed out.

It's like my internet connection loses signal, but I can still talk on MSN, so it's got to be KMC.

must be something wrong with your PCs ....i dont get that either

It's happened to me a few times. What does it mean?

Got the same problem 3 days ago, while clicking on a "Find last post" link. Every time I did it, my comp detected an intrusion attempt and blocked KMC for some time...

So it is not necessarily a problem with our computers. Even if its due to the last update of a firewall, this should not happen...

It's definetly KMC, I've been on some MMORPG's for over 3 hours and it hasnt done that. MSN works fine too.

I was on browsing KMC earlier today on another PC and a window popped up telling me about an error occuring and asking if i would like to send an error report.

Then the internet browser just closed !

Something is wrong with KMC when used with certain PCs I am concluding.....

But mine worked fine before, I've been on here for two years with no problem...

Sometimes, when I click last page or a certain page, it sais "Page Not Found" and whenever I try to do it again, it does the same thing!

And that is why you should always log out of your account if it's on a computer that other people use.

Ok.. how many of you are using Windoze XP with SP2 ??

I refused to download SP2 because too many people I know had their computers completely messed up by it

Yeah still crashing every five minutes or so. I'm trying it with Firefox instead.

My problem remains (it started exactly 2 weeks ago). I'd better not want to find someone's last post, or my own comp gives me a one-hour ban !

I know that will sound like a mantra but...switch to Firefox firefox...but if you still want to use IE....
I think we have a pattern here...Ok: Its quite possible that your hosts file has been modified. The hosts file is a system level override that can map certain domains to static ips. Hosts file should be located in something like:

C: \WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Open and get rid of all but 127.0.0.1 localhost (edit it in notepad). BUT MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE!!!

Restart and pray... pray

I already use Firefox


...but I don't need to restart and pray for my other comp crashed a month ago and I can't afford to take so much risk!

When I click on "Find last post", Norton thinks I'm attacked. At first, I get the same message as eggmayo.

Yeah, I can't change Nortons, my Dad has been brainwashed by how good it seems, because of how many things it blocks (usually wrongly) and wont allow me to change it. Hasn't crashed again yet, I'll screenshot when it does.

That's exactly what message I got, I don't even have Netscape.
I've allowed the IP address to view the cookie, and I'll see whether that helps.

I have problem connect the game versus forum every time I trying to connect to the forum this file called F85 keeps pop up.

I've had problems with the last post shown on the main forum page not matching up with the actually post in Vs forum... dunno if they're related
