my taste that leans towards country (although is more folk than country) would be

Counting Crows
Kathleen Edwards
Josh Ritter

counting crows and ryan adams can probably go down as my favourite artists ever...

I really dont like country music

Johnny Cash was good, It ends there though.

I like Garth Brooks, johnny Cash was good.....and James Taylor is decent (is he even country....)

Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr, Willie Nelson, The Carter Family, then there's alt-country, a lot of that is good.
