Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I know everyone's excited about the new book being out (met too) but we need some control in this forum. I've closed WAY too many spoiler/pointless threads and it's ridiculous! Especially you all who write spoilers in the title! I don't think so. I'm just closing the thread becuase I don't want to read any of your post and be spoiled myself. From now on, post in the follow threads:

OMG!!!!! The book was not what I expceted at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

All the more reasons to keep spoilers away from people who haven't read the book yet.

I didnt think this book was in the style of her others I think it was too rushed, I felt betrayed when I finished it

Some people put the spoiler in the topic titile, you know. Or they don`t speify that it`s a spoiler. It isn`t his fault that people are doing stupid things like that. Chill out

And like I said, spoilers shouldn't be shut down just cuz of what they are. People might want to read them, others who don't won't (or shouldn't...). And if she wants to bann me then fine, but I think it would only be because she really doesn't like me (out of hatred), or because she's fed up with me. Sorry all.

As Hermione202 said, I'm a he. Secondly, I only gave you that warning because you were mod bashing, which is prohibited (as well as member bashing) Spoiler threads are shut down when they duplicated, or just don't make sense. It is NOT fair for people to be spoiled just by reading the title. If they choose to go to that thread after being alerted that it is a spoiler, than that's there business. But I have been getting a lot of PM's from people who complain that they have been spoiled by the title. So that's why.

nooooooo!! Don't do it, my brother spoiled the book for me, that was so annoying

it is why i was avoiding this forum untill i fnished reading

I couldn't avoid it , but i managed not to check any of the Spoiler related threads .

That wasn't the wisest thing to do...especially to a mod...

I just finished it... in the space of 28 hours geek

Anyway, I cried soooo much when Snape killed Dumbledore!! More so when it got to the funeral though, that was perfectly played out. The merpeople singing out of respect, Hagrid carrying DD and Grawp patting his head, it was all so moving

I was really impressed with HBP, especially after the anti climax I felt from OOTP

i was more moved when they killed sirius

I was absolutely devastated but that was through horror. I already knew about DD so I was able to feel more pity than shock, so I suppose I fet more grieved. It took me ages to get my head around Sirius' death.

I agree... does that mean you think Snape isn't entirely evil? I mean, DD probably told him at some point that if he had to kill him, he shouldn't even think twice. I trust DD's judgement completely No matter that he's dead, I think he knew... you've got to give him credit for that.

And you couldn't go to school? I was just shocked, totally gutted and really angry with Rowling

I think I agree... One of my theories is that, that Snape was told to do what he must no matter what, but to never reveal himself as a DD alay. I think probably Snape told DD that he had to make the unbreakable bow to keep up with his act that he was devoted to Voldemort and not to DD and so DD knew what was comming when he saw him come out of the door. What puzzles me thoguh is why did DD sounded like if he were "beggin"? Is that what she said? Imploring? something like that (I don't have the book at hand). Thats actually why I thought Snape got so angry when Harry called him a coward, it was something like "oh you little s...head! you have no idea what I just had to do (against my will) just to follow DD orders! so don't you dare call me a coward 'cus that was the hardest thing I've ever had to do!..." or something like that if you get what I mean...
On the other hand, I also think that Sirius' death was way more... emotive shall we say? I don't know, I was mourning S' death for like a week, I just couldn't get over it, I even came up with a way for JKR to bring him back if she changed her mind, I postedit here somewhere... DD's was weard, kindda cold, kinda fast, kinda empty... and I also think (probably because of that) that this book was kinda rushed like someone said...
Yoy do have to give Snape some credit wheter he's a good guy or a bad guy: he's GOOD. He's an amaizing wizard and being great at oclumasy he can foresee the spells that are about to be cast at him and prevent them with a nonverbal counterspell! Thats good! He would give a hell of a fight to anyone in the order! I actually don't think there'll be anyone in the order who could easyly beat him. Maybe James Potter could have... And if he's a good guy, no death eater would be match for him!
I also enjoyed a lot Harry's pursue of the perpetrators and I loved the duel with Malfoy in the bathroom and the counterspell that knocked Snape out of balance in class. He's etting real brave, fearless, focused and everything...
I also think that there are a few things that are kinda stupid, like, why the hell did DD had to go and freeze Harry!? he was wearing the cloak so why did he waist time on doing that to harry instead of defending himself when Harry didn't need protection!? I just don't get that!
WIsh Harry and Ginny had stayed toguether though...
I just love ginny! she's great! and for those of you who didn't see it coming since the end of OOTP then... I don't know...
I kinda saw it coming Snape being the prince... I was never 100% sure though the thought crossed my mind over and over throughtout the book.

Because DD knew that if Harry was able to move or make any noise at all he would have revealed himself, got in the way of the plan and probably got himself hurt. I think DD knew exactly what was going to happen, his death was planned and that Snape did what he had to do. He made a promise to DD and he stuck to that. I definitely believe Snape is working against Voldemort.
