this subject is so within all of us.....It's something that we all ask....It's something personal within all of us......It's different depending on what belief you have..... I could not give you advise in this area...because we are all different....I did however read a good book called "Conversations with God.", though.....everyone is different.....I believe keeping joy in your life is important...Joy, life, excitement, a real since of what it is to be alive.....I guess that's all I can say......Being alive....knowing you're not dead.that being emotionally alive inside Knowing that you just aren't just living to pay the bills..... ... Knowing that's why we are here to enjoy all the possibilities we've been given.......We only live once.( or are we).....enjoy it all.......all the possibilities.....all the roads... Like the saying goes...."The road less traveled is more of an adventure."

but again I'm not an authority on the subject.....just an opinion...

We're all traveling roads......Just find yours...

to follow your heart you must first learn the uselessness of that phrase, only then will you understand that term, and when you've come to understand this, you will realise you have learned....nothing

JediMusician
Are you certain it is your heart you should be following? I find clarity of thought often yields better results, even in the field of romance, which is often what people are refering to when they speak of "following their heart."

To follow your heart is following your intuition. Knowing without words, sensing the truth without explanations. Allowing our intuition to guide us is very different from what we have been taught in the past (approaching life rationally). Rather than just trying to figure things out in your head, follow your intuitive feeling for a while and let things unfold.

Following your heart is following what you think is the best decision, basically. I cant just say I followed my heart and it brought me to Daniel. God brought me to Daniel, and he to I.

heres is what i think following your heart means: there is no such thing as doing something you dont want to do. lets say you do something unenjoyable. just because you didnt enjoy it, doesnt mean you didnt want to do it. if you dont want to do something, there is no possible reason to do it. an example would be that you dont enjoy going to work. but you want to get paid. so you want to go to work to get paid. i think that following your heart is doing what you enjoy

Lana
Following your heart is simply letting go and doing what your intuition tells you to, instead of thinking through logically what you should do. I tend to act more on intuition than logic and honestly I must say it works quite well for me.

EsteemedLeader
what if your heart tells you to use logic? roadblock in your logic.

Then my heart would tell me to find a job I take pleasure in.

I don' t fully agree with your point of view.

I don' t enjoy going to funerals. But my heart tells me to go to a family member and a friend' s funeral.

I have to say to follow your heart would make life more pleasurable...If your heart said take a job that would would enjoy...then follow it...It would make life more meaningful in that area...

Though heart and logic seem to be opposites...

Following the heart is complicated, one must have trust in something inorder to follow it. Take me for example, I have lived my life not trusting in anything. I like Amanda so much, and all I want to know is "if she doesn't like me like that i'll move on and just sink into depression and anger like i always do.." but it's not that simple..

Tarot cards..
Dreams..
All forms of scrying I can think of ultimately point to one message..

"Trust in God".

But how can I trust in God? I'm not even sure if there IS a God, much less if His interestes correspond with my own. I admit it, I'm selfish, vain, immature spiritualy, and want my damn Amanda and could give a crap about God's plan lol..

But mom (Who's also a witch) is always giving me her speech about maybe that's exactly why God wants my trust so badly. Because I am such a trustworthy guy myself. Sure I'm an ******* who never listens to reason and am a selfish prick. But that's because i'm ignorant to the divine and what it can do for me and what it IS doing for me.. once I mature, with my unlimited honosty and loyal attitude towards those I care about. I could be like a virtual prophet.. Course mom also thinks fairies exsist so LOL..

That's because there is one...Not the one misrepresented by the Bible though...It's an invisible force that wants to create with you...you are already part of it...

You're no different than the rest of us.....and I do feel for you.

Funny you should mention that....I also know some people who believe in them...

Darth_Janus
This topic is kinda interesting... I've had trouble following my "feelings" and heart or whatnot. Usually when I just go off like that, it's never for the best. It either ends in me being embarassed or a long walk home.

I always follow my heart..it always leads to to the nearest Big Mac and fries, and then to the nearest heart specialist afterwards. wink

Seriously however, the heart versus common sense. The finest line anyone has ever walked when it comes down to making decisions.

Yes, some of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make....That's where pro and con lists come in handy....trying to weigh them out...

To believe in fairies is like belieng in angels, or god, or ghosts, or miracles, or aliens, or many other things like that. Fairies came from Celtic mythology I think, and its part of their religion. Fairies are spirits of nature, but by ignorance people made it a child tale. Its a religion like any other.
