which is better Katana or londsword

yes right you are, but i believe a katana is better....

not if you're using a shield, which is nessecary in some cases

yes, one longsword is nothing compaired to one katana, but you cant just look at it like that

LS and shield vs katana, dual wielding LS vs katana, stuf flike that

i saw a video where they shot a .50 calibur squad machine gun at a katana...

the katana sliced 6 bullets in half before breaking.

I prefer the Katana, I love its style and grace, and indeed the ethos that goes with it.

I think in a real situation though a long sword could do well against a katana if only because if they clashed the long sword would likely smash the katana with it being a much heavier weapon and katana being quite brittle (they have been known to be shattered by wooden Bokken, Jo and Bo). On the other hand though an average samurai would have carved an average long sword wielder up before they had the weapon out of its scabbard...
