Why not Republic Strikes Back!

Because, ya know, the main point of the film is that the Clones attack.

It doesn't really matter that Anakin falls in love with Padme. And it's just a side-note that Anakin begins his descent to the dark side. The fact that the Clones do a smidgen of attacking is far more important than that...

The Republic Strikes Back would be dreadful.

Though, Attack of the Clones doesn't fit too well...

Revenge of the Sith did not rip off Return of the Jedi; it fits well anyway.

Strikes Back has already been used in a title. The Empire Strikes Back. GL doesn't like to use words more then once in a title.

should have just been called 'The Clone Wars' but George like B movie titles so 'Attack of the Clones' was chosen...

It's stupid. this is supposed to be about Anakin and Padme lusting after each other. Lucas said it was supposed to be the main focus (but obviously forgot the focus of the movie when he saw Yoda in shiny 3D and thought "me likey, me use lots". It's not about the Clones, it's about Anakin getting Padme preggers ASAP.

It should have been called Episode II: Attack Of The Clitoris.
