ok, let's say that galactus finally killed the fantastic four and a new one was formed. who would you want to see or put on the new fantastic four team? try to keep your members under herald level.

I would take
Classic Juggernaut: Brawn
Iron Man: Brains
Magneto: Long range
Spiderman: Stealth

Replace Thing with Damage/Namor
Replace Human torch with Iron Man
Replace Mr. Fantastic with Mr. Sinister/Batman
Replace Invisible Woman with Psylocke/Cable

AoA Sabe's makes a fairly good leader, as he showed in Exiles. The others will listen to him, simply because they are the kind of guys who don't care as long as the leader isn't a dick. The only thing this team really lacks is TP/TK and a smart guy. Damage has tankage and energy blasts, DP and Azrael are top notch fighters, Sabes is ruthless and relentless. It's all good.

Venom for Mr Fantastic
Juggernaught for Thing
Ice Man for The Human Torch
Nightcrawler for Invisible Woman

Appocolypse for Dr Doom

storm-great leader, is a very, very good h2h fighter, good strategist, one of the most powerful mutants to ever walk the earth(uncanny x-men # 17 the annual), and has great versatility.

she-hulk- one of the strongest women in Marvell universe

regular jean grey(w/out phoenix)- even w/out phoenix she is still an omega tk/tp which will be very useful

iceman- very, very powerful and his powers would be useful.

^if I could add another person I would add photon, because she is very, very powerful and could turn into anything from the em spectrum. she has turned into things like radio waves, light, gamma rays, electricity, cosmic rays and other things.

wat does herald actually mean

Herald implies Herald of Galactus. Herald level would mean someone who has been given the power cosmic by Galactus (Silver Surfer, Terrax, Morg, Firelord, etc.) or who, through other means is that powerful and could easily contend with someone of that level (Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Sentry seemingly, Gladiator, etc.).

Who needs the Fantastic Four anyways? If they died, good! They could clean out their headquarters and give it to the GLA/Lightening Rods/GLX!

Harsh there Scarlet. Do you know how many times Reed has saved all of Marvel?? Lots...that's how many.

Eh, I'd try to make a bunch of B-listers more popular. I'd have Iron Fist, Black Panther (money), Forge, and Namor (just to be ironic). Forge would just build a bunch of crazy stuff with BP's money, so it would be a lot like Reed. Namor takes care of the muscle, but they'd probably still get rocked by the original FF.

Okay, this really is assuming that the FF is dead, but they elft behind the Baxte Building and whatever funding/money they had access to.

Forge: Brains/tech. He might not have the raw intellect of Reed, but he'd be awesome with access to Reed's stuff.

Gilgamesh: Brawler. Thor level strength, some flight, healing/indestructibility... oh yeah.

The Shroud: Blinding as opposed to invisibility, DD-like mystical radar sense, awesome street leveller who punked Doc Doom. Also takes over the flier role Johnny held.

Black Bolt: Has the force fields covered (thought not quite as strong as Sue's), electron powers can be used from anything from an offensive attack to an impromptu power source for any gadget Forge might whip up on the spot (he once pulled down enough energy to give Attlilan's batteries enough charge to run the city for decades), and would make an awesome leader in combat situations once Forge whips up Marvel's version of radiotelepathy .

Anyways, my Fantastic Four:

Blue Diamond: Brawn and brain--though not technologically inclined, he was a noted explorer and anthropologist for decades.
Songbird: Energy constructs and sheilds.
Living Lightening: Energy blasts, flight.

Vostok: He's like Vision with elements of the Fixer (power/skills mostly with none of Ebersol's snarky comments) and Maddison Jefferies. He can go intangible through some dimensional warping thing, he can mentally control machinery/metal, making it do what he wants, or bending it into new forms and machines. He's an android who is believed to have once been a Russian cosmonaut, but that is only conjecture.

Mine was the most fantastic,lol.

Mine was the baddest beat everyone down team.

Mine was the best team of moderatly powerful heroes that combined could become a force for great good like the original Fantastic Four.

I never said you shouldnt make an assessment because at the end of the day who am i to say that this is a forum where people express their opinions. I merely said you arent in the best position to make such a comment about marvel when you by your own admission dont read comics a lot. Thats exactly what i said but do you see how you were so quick to interpret that negatively and then turn on one who is supposed to be a friend? Ive answered this all in the other thread. You said you had ownly recently started reading comics more. Therefore i said you're hardly in the best position to make the assessment you did which was fair enough. You did over react.

Thats when you brought in all of that other stuff which let me know you had a problem with it. Thats what i thought was wrong and nothing else. Apart from that im cool.

Reread what I said, I and many others think that marvel's writing has dropped.

I don't dislike marvel at all, I think they can do better.

I think it is a tie with DC, that was my point.

Namor(leader) come on he leads a whole contry plus has been on teams before plus he just kicks ass. Oh, and he is rich.
Iron man Has sheilds like IW and energy projection like HT and flight. Oh, he is rich as well.
Emma frostrotects juggernaut and team from Tp ads more mind power with a great body. Like someone else said it isn't fantastic without the sexy woman appeal. Oh and richness flows from her as well.

My team is the RICH B**** Team!

I'd replace them with the U-Foes; that's what they're there for, to be FF wanna' be's.
You can mention ironman or juggernaut, etc. but the new team would have to behave like a family.

On second thought, I'd choose: Greg, Marsha, Peter and Bobby
