This is dumb. Every where you look you see sex, T.v, radio(hear it) out side, come onI saw a comercial, and thought it was for to by a porn magazine, but it turned out to be a skittles comercial. The damn Pants and shoes comercials, are the most misleading. Outside you see topless men walking around, then you see woman with barley anything on, The skirt looks like a rag, and yes this is 14 year olds, in the WINTER. How do we have free will, when we all do the samething, because its in our nature. Ohe well. We all are going to burn in hell, so you guys better get used to the heat.

I think the real reason no one wants to believe because they don't want to be responsible for what they do. If you have sex with many people then its not going to mean as much if you only share it with only a few people, or less. Also you will not feel attached to that person as much, so it will not hurt as much if you break up, or whatever. Marriage is more of a commitment to each other, and is suppose to last so that when you have sex.. you will not have to worry about what if you have a child, or if you, and that person break up.

There is more to it than that, but I really don't feel like typing anymore on this topic.

There are over 100 different texts that weren't included in the cannon of scripture...If you've read those others, you'd see a different Jesus. What we have today was inserted, forced, edited into what we now call our Bible....It's not a true representation of what God is at all...And Jesus was not called god until it was deemed so in 324 AD.

I was trying to give you a general idea.

One of their down falls was from within....well most of them were....It was their politics, religions intolerance's, and bad leaders/bad decisions..

Maybe I was too quick to post this particular website that supported the view that also religion had a factor to play in the disintegration of the Roman Empire...But like I said....It was a combination of things....and I quick searched a site that had that part of the religious view of it....The disintegration of that empire did not happen over night...there were many factors that contributed to it....One being that at one time all religions were accepted into it...all got along together...All were welcome.....the next was a change in many fractions....including religion acceptance....intolerance to the beliefs of many to Christianity...It was a slow ball..

Of course you can read a site and pick it apart, but I didn't say I agreed with all of it, just the part I was specifying about....otherwise, I find your being to nit picky

1. Sex: Almost nowhere in the animal kingdom is anyone manogimous (only one sexual partner). It isn't natural. Believing in love and sharing it with one special person is wonderful, but to expect that every married couple will change, grow, learn, etc. at the same rate and in the same direction is a bit preposterous. The litany of unhappy marriages is a testament to this. So while it probably is still something that should only be shared by those "in love" since it makes it more profound as something more than just bodily pleasure, marriage is in and of itself a somewhat flawed way of trying to impose manogimy (sic) upon some who might be better off without it. For some it may work...and good for them...but divorce or having more than one partner in a lifetime I see as being somewhat healthy if the situation calls for it. Please note, I don't endorse casual sex for simple bodily gratification...I feel it cheapens it. But the whole "One marriage, one person." method I think is at another flawed extreme (for some at least). Just my 2c.

2. Jesus as he's been changed: Yes, the Gnostic Gospels (notably Thomas) speak of a different Jesus, and many documents were destroyed and/or changed at some point. Think of how much a story changes if you tell it a year after it happened. The Gospels (the ones used in the Bible) were all written about 40 years after Jesus' death. Considering the wildly different (and provable) influences upon Christianity throughout history as well as how much the actual events have been altered somewhat, the overriding truths that the scriptures speak of might have remained true, but the exactities of the Bible and the "facts" upon which much of Christianity is based are suspect at best.

The Gnostics are "more info" as are the influences upon Christianity by Judaism, certain Pagan traditions (like that of hell), not only the exclusion of many texts but the decision of making Jesus "God" nearly 300 years after he walked the earth, the influence of ancient Greek and Roman thinking upon Christianity (the 'good shepherd' image and that of a leader/savior dying on a cross were already present in the form of followers who had deified their early teachers and myths like Plato and Orpheus).

I can't claim to be an expert on much of this, but I don't have to be to know that it exists. Many of Jesus' teachings I have no problem with...some I do, however, and to be honest I have no way of knowing if that's what he really taught because it's been altered so much in centuries since (and I didn't even talk about wild changes between multiple translations). So I have no problem with those who follow the Bible, but to think it's a word-for-word truth of everything you need to know and all that is out there about Christianity is fooling oneself.

The world is not evil (not completely), most of it is neutral.

because most people never understand what they are doing and so they do it and don't know if it is wrong or not, but by the time do they know it is wrong, it will be too late. people will never understand that the things they love the most is wrong in God's eyes and so they have to choice to side with evil, because they don't want to give up the many pleasures they have enjoyed, which is wrong. so they don't want any one to tell them that what they are doing is wrong, so they are against the person or persons and will side with the ones who agree with them. people will ignore their infidelities, but it will come back on them and if they are pulled from darkness, then these people who do anything to keep that from happening, so they side with evil, because they never want good to find out what they are doing and they don't want to be corrected.

I'm assuming the people you're referring to are those who don't believe in the Christian god, or don't believe in The Bible. (NB these two groups are not necessarily the same)

It falls apart from line one where you make the assumption that these individuals (myself included) have no intrinsic sense of morality, and the assumption that simply because in your opinion and under your personal sense of morality something is wrong/bad/evil that it definitely is wrong/bad/evil.

Do you know what it is like to grow up hearing this garbage every day. I know it all to well. A child who is told this, has no reason to achieve. childhood is destroyed by the constant knowing that the world is going to destroy it's self. Sorry, I've never been selfish enough to not care about others. This idea started in the 13th century and has been changing and modifying it's self ever sense.

I was a victim of this thinking and I can tell you are too. I will pry for you, for what ever life you wish for, but mostly that you become happy and joyful in your life. Please forgive me, when I read your post, I remembered the pain of my past and for a short time I was in hell.

There is a movement in the word, an organization called SGI we are better than 12 million strong. We are recognized by the UN. We have a plan, a way to bring world piece. This is the only plan I ever heard that will work; if you help each person, on the Earth, to be happy, then there will be no war.
