I just picked up the Last Avengers Story and i thought it was the best story i have ever read. Therefore, i have to agree with Jacob.
Superfly4000
V for Vendetta, great story. Could have been a regular book and still been cool.
jacobo0o

im a very emotional guy
jacobo0o

Scoobless
i liked Kingdom Come... it kicks ass......Identity Crisis was pretty good too
anybody remember the Spidey arc called Identity Crisis.... it was years ago..... he invented the persona's of Dusk, Ricochet, Hornet and Prodigy (and paper bag head... or whatever the hell he was called)...... that's one of my favourite storylines ever
i'm really drunk.... i think this message makes sense right now.... if i read it tomorrow and it doesn't i may apologise.... but i doubt it
i only had to fix 10 spelling mistakes in this message
jacobo0o

I thought Batman Hush was great and so was Daredevil Guardian Devil............
chucktaylor
Spider-Man: the Death of Gwen Stacy
Im still not over it for the past years...
Myth
chucktayler - Your sig made me lose track of the subject.
leonidas
the dd fall from grace storyline is certainly among my faves. simonson's run in thor (vs surtur) also rocked. rock of ages in jla is a more recent example of another arc i completely loved.
DigiMark007
Can I be cliche and say Crisis on Infinite Earths? No? Alright then, let's find something else...
Maximum Carnage, Infinity Gauntlet, Kingdom Come...
Oh, crap, how could I forget....The Sandman (by Neil Gaiman). There's something like 12 volumes each with about 5 issues, and I'm through Volume 8 right now...but it's hauntingly beautiful, and possibly the best comic series I've ever read. Nothing like a normal comic, but you won't be disappointed.

Hush as a series was pretty cool too...
Nataku8188
Deadpool's Weapon X run, Funeral for a freak, Dead reckoning, uhm... a lot of it actually.
Hulk/Marvel The End
Sword of Azrael, a lot of the Azrael issues.
Knightfall
The best EVER, though, would have to be The Ultimates
willRules
I liked the Ultimates issues 7-13 when they had the skrull invasion. That story should be made into a movie.............

The Coming of Galactus

I thought Hulk: The End was a great damn book. The last bit of character development for the Banner, and made you feel bad for the Hulk at the end.
Howard_Jones
^ Loved Keown's art in that one.
The first arc of Spawn was excellent.
Doc Potato
Hm... Guardian Devil was awesome... the whole Ultimates series was amazing... and most of Geoff Johns' work that I've read is awesome...
Dinalfos
Ragnarok
Infinity Gauntlet
Secret Wars I (yes, I loved it)
Infinity WAR (better than Gauntlet, imo)
Future Imperfect
Venom: Lethal Protector
Heroes Reborn: Fantastic Four
Kingdom Come (I dislike DC and most of their characters, but this was damn good writing!)
The Dark Knight Returns
Spiderman: The Child Within (Spidey at his bleakest and most depressing, which was awesome. And tragic)
willRules
X-men : Dark Phoenix saga
Wolverine : Origins
Wolverine: The Logan files
Spider-man : the death of Gwen Stacey
Daredevil : Guardian Devil
Ultimates vol 1 and 2 and Ultimates 2 are all great
Secret Wars
Astonishing X-men : Danger
Civil War
Captain America issues 400-460
Cable and Deadpool issues 1-present
Batman Hush
Nightwing issues 1-120 ish
JLA Morrisons Run
Superman Jim lee's run
Batman War Games
Infinite crisis
Villains United

My friend got it because he's a huge Jim Lee fan, and told me one of the worst lines of dialoge I've heard in comics
Bad Guy: You scratched my face (or something like this)
Superman: I couldn't tell with all the ugly
Yeah...

I loved Marvels. Even as a kid I could appreicate it. Maximum Carnage also since it was one of the first comics I read and my first introduction to Spider-Man.
Wally West
Thanos' Quest + Infinity Gauntlet is really, really good. I'd rank that as one of the best.
Geoff Johns Rogue War run on Flash is excellent too.

I concur on the TQ+IQ series, I'd also like to add Ragnarok & Dark Knight Returns
pr1983
flash rogue war was a damn fine comic series...
Grinning Goku
Watchmen...period. After I read it, I was afraid to go back to normal comics. It's so much more than comic though. If you haven't read it yet go out get it or download it. You might not think it's the best ever, but it will be at least very worth your while.
