I dont think Ben gets nearly enough respect. Everyone thinks he's so useless just because he cant get a fair win against the Hulk. SO WHAT?! Not many people in the Marvel Universe have wins against the Hulk, so the Thing onyl having one is actually good in my opinion. I realize that Ben doesnt have the most impressive strength feats, but he does have alot of impressive fighting feats, which i would like to post here, such as:

(by the way if anyone could get pics for me that would be greatly appreciated)

In FF Vol. 3 #58-60 he fought hundreds of evil versions of himself all at the same time and survived.

In FF Vol. 3 #27, went on a rampage to Avengers mansion and even beat down the two Avengers powerhouses called Wonder Man and Thor.

In many issues, most notably FF Vol. 1 #111-112, he went toe-to-toe with the Hulk for an entire issue.

In FF Vol. 3 #7, fought hundreds of Captain Britains all at the same time and survived.

In the FF cartoon episode "Ego, the Living Planet", while on Ego, Ego exploded and the Thing was unharmed.

I'm sure there's more, but i cant think of any right now off the top of m head so if others could help me out it would be appreciated.

yea i believ so cuz the cartoon was based directly on the comic, so i mentioned the cartoon cuz i forgot the comic # where the same thing happenned with Ego.

yea the same thing happenned. It was around the #90-100 range i think when it happenned.

yea i really like the one where he's fighting Luke Cage. It really puts into perspective just how strong the Thing really is.

Thing is smart...

Cage its a great example why handbooks are mostly garbage. He was a 3 ton level class in those at the time, but here its shown to fight the Thing and doing it good for awhile.

I actually like the rivality between Ben and Namor. And how Doom got handled.

Ben is - the - Marvel underdog! He owns that game.

Thing never walked over Thor, he punched him once and knocked him away from himself, just that.

One of the greatest fights I ever seen the Thing in was against Umbra Jaagur he had just beat Human Torch absorbing his nova Burst and then beating She Hulk and then only the Thing was left and might I say Thing Kicked his ass.

-Ultimate FF #12: beats the crap out of Doom once the rest of the FF give him time to move in close.
-Ultimate FF #16: beats the crap out of Nihil Caste and his minions with ease. Rips off one of Nihil's wings.
-Ultimate FF #19: tore thru a 12-inch thick steel door.
-Ultimate FF #20: completely demolished the Mad Thinkers lil clone creatures with a simple backhand.
-Ultimate FF #23: heavily damages 616 Zombie Savage Hulk with one punch. Then throws a Semi.
-Ultimate FF #25: even tho Namor was already weakened, Ben still knocked Namor out in one punch. The same Namor beat down Thor, Wolverine, Cap, Iron Man, Wasp, Giant Man, and Spiderman in issue 26.
-Ultimate FF #26: Is hit by a "left hook" by Namor and sent airborne across a city block, but received no damage whatsoever.
-Ultimate FF Annual #1: hits the ground, causing lots of Inhumans to be launched into the air and damaged. Then goes toe-to-toe with Gorgon, who was stated to be the most powerful woman on the planet.
-Ultimate Secret #4: beats the crap out of lots of Killdrones, the same types of killdrones who, just one, gave Mahr Vehl trouble. Also, he took their special cannon's blast against his skin with no damage.
-Ultimate X4: in one small punch, nearly made Wolverine loose consciousness.
-MK 4 #2: is hit by a thieves car and....well.....just get the scan and look for urself....with McNiven's art it was ****ing amazing.
-MK 4 #3: carries a load of Cinder Blocks about 7' high and other construction materials like it's nothing.
-MK 4 #7: is said by Reed to be able to Arm-Wrestle THOR and almost win. Almost "clobbers" an alien ship to pieces but the aliens fear him so they try to take off which Susie stops.
-MK 4 #11: beats the crap out of a stone Lion.
-MK 4 #18: beats the crap out of Ramades so bad Ramades had to shoot him with the cure so he'd get him off his back, and still Ben kept coming even as a human.
-X4 #1: in a brief tussle with Wolverine, takes Wolverine's claws on his skin with no harm.

Alright, i just found the best feat ever for all u idiots who still think the Thing is Class 85. Even when he was depressed he was holding up 82 tons, and look wut he did to his old max of 85 tons!!! Eh? he wasn't ambushed. Thing first attacked Sasquatch, when he wasn't looking for a fight. I didn't post all the scans yet in the thread.

Thing was already on the ground from a previous skurmish when Sasquatch attacked him, plus, u could tell Thing was holding back....

Not very accurate. The Hulk is like a hundred fold the Thing's strength even just on the average. The Thing shouldn't have actually walked away with an arm attached to that shoulder.

Best thing moment for me was basicly telling Reed to kill him in order to stop Doom in either FF #509 or #510. It just showed that even to the bitter end Ben is a hero

In the FF #1 Vol. 3, the FF are in paris fighting some guy or somthing and Ben picks up the Pyramide du Louvre, which is over 95 tons without breaking a sweat!

Now tell me how he is class 85

Well Ultimate Namor is more powerful. I dont know about stronger though

I mean Namor knocked Ben across New York, but Ben wasnt even phased though.

So I would say yes Ben is stronger than Namor

Ultimate Hulk is stronger than Ben, but not by much.

As far as I know of Ben is the second strongest in the Ultimate Marvel Universe.

There's no way way Ult Thing is stronger than Ult Namor. He broke out restraints that were designed to contain the most powerful meta on the planet designed by Reed...with ease. Thing not being phased was probly just his impressive invulnerability.

And for Ult Hulk being a little stronger...yeah right. I would like to see Ult Thing take on an entire alien fleet of ships by himself.

Well, at Base strength

They are almost even.

But that was an EXTREMLY pissed off Hulk.

Yeah, Ult. Namor is a beast though. I really want to see a rematch between Ben and Namor. I mean Namor is OBVIOUSLY more powerful, but I mean like a fist fight. Of course that will probobly occur in Ultimate Invasion

I've got a little theory about Ultimate Ben Grim's strength.

In the first volume of UFF when Ben is first shown in rock form whenever he walked it caused what looked like mini earthquakes. These made fire hydrants explode and trucks to flip several feet in the air.

When we next see him Reed has put him in an "impact suit" that absorbs the extra force he puts on himself and the world. From that point we never see the mini earthquakes when Ben moves.

So basically this entire time Ben has had the high-tech equivalent of an unknown amount of bubble wrap cushioning his every move and action.

His true strength will remain unknown until he takes off the suit and lets loose.

Then we will witness one of the most destructive forces in the Ulitmate U.

Nah. That would answer some questions but I'm sure that Reed has made some extra durable boxers for Ben.

He don't have to be naked just out of the impact suit.

Um right now for 616 Ben I would say that he is class 100. His base is probobly 97 tons or so, same with colossus

Ultimate Ben can lift up to 16 tons I think, Ult. Hulk's base is 16.5 tons and Ultimate Colossus can lift 14 tons.

Thing goes back in time 2000 years and takes on Hercules. Herc. though Thing was as troll and didn't recognize him. So at first Thing didn't want to fight but once Herc. p!ssed him of it was Clobberin Time. But the fight was stopped and there was no winner.

I didnt said it was a figth. I said Thing managed to overpower him.

While Tony wasent controlling it (we all can see he wasent, by the text Snoop...) the armour was using lethal force.

Thing managing to overpower the armour is a good testament of skill and strength.
