He is one of the most powerful beings in marvel with his armors. Same with wonder man, if someone could post some of those feats or another ones, i will be very thankful:

He was toe to toe with doctor doom in his own series and doom was impressed by iron man's armor

He did beat silver surfer in one avengers/defenders special

He did beat thanos teaming with old captain marvel in captain marvel series

He went toe to toe against the hulk several times and did beat him sometimes, in iron man series and hulk series

He went toe to toe with terrax, and almost did beat him

He did beat thor in iron man series

He lifted an entire building in iron man series

He lifted a plane in iron man series

He went toe to toe against a fresh out of water namor, iron man and avengers series

Congrats. This is the new official IM respect thread. There was another (please check the respect thread directory at the top of the forum) but it was 2 pages of pointless posts. Hopefully this one will be better.

there should be a new rule on these forums.don't start a respect thread unless you already got some feats ready.

I just edited the Respect thread directory and made some general rules. One is "be prepared to post feats" or something similar.

^^ Nah but I'm excited. For the first time in years, I got a subscription to ASM. The whole "The Other" story line sounds hella-sweet, even though some don't like the changes. That, and he needs a new costume anyway...he's essentially had 2 over the past 30 years. Everyone has had more than that...even most smaller characters.

Come on, lets see some scans on the Golden Avenger's feats, guys.

Iron Man used to rock. Now he is the suck--especially in Avengers, Bendis has no idea how to write him, and they're so focused on the armor, not on the man inside. They use it more like a tool, rather than how Tony used to put it on, like a fine suit, and it became part of him.

They've detached the wearer from the suit, "scan for life forms" "fire" "order pizza" Tony used to be hooked up and do that stuff without blabbering away like a putz. It also seems like they've taken all manuverability and speed out of the suit, he just walks around, flies once in awhile, runs out of power, charges...runs out again, charges a little bit fires some stuff, runs out of power, and looks like an idiot.

Stark decided that although one is never truly cured of alcoholism, he could also not the nine response abilities of being Iron Man. He resumed his career as Iron Man and joined the New West Coast division of the avengers.

Stark also managed to reclaim control of his fortune, although he decided not to claim ownership of the company formally known as Stark international. Rather, he founded a new technological design and manufacturing company, Stark enterprises, based in Silicon Valley in Southern California. Stark enterprises quickly became a highly successful and innovative company.

Stark learned that before his death the industrials by calling self Spymaster had stolen the plans for the many secret technological innovations Stark to devise annualized in his Iron Man are. Spymaster's had then turn these plants over to Stark most powerful and antagonistic business rival, Justin Hammer, in turn, had made available to many criminals. These criminals had then incorporated the stolen technological innovations into their own armored battle suits. Oh raged that his inventions were being used for criminal activity, and even for killing, Stark determined to deprive these criminals of his secrets. He planted a computer virus in Hammer's computer system that would wipe out all traces of the plans for Starks Iron Man technology. As Iron Man Stark sought out and caught many criminals and others (such as the United States government's Guardsmen) who wore battle suits utilizing his technology, implanted devices on their armor that to use the circuits, rendering the suit useless. With the computer records of the plans for his technology gone, presumably it could not be used in reconstructing the suits. Iron Man accidentally killed the second titanium man (also known as the gremlin) in the course of these "Armor Wars." United States government branded Iron Man as an outlaw as a result of these and vigilante actions, and Stark publicly claimed that he had fired Iron Man in displeasure over his illegal activity. Shortly afterward, Iron Man was apparently destroyed in combat with government forces.

In fact, however, Stark had survived. He created an even more sophisticated armored battle suit to wear as Iron Man, using technology far in advance over that which spymaster had stolen from him. Star continued to go into action as Iron Man, but he publicly claimed that the previous Iron Man was dead and that another employee of his whose identity is being kept secret was now wearing the armored suit.

Later, Stark was shots by Kathleen Dare, a former lover of his with an unstable mind. The gunfire severely injured Starks spying, and it appeared here be crippled the rest of his life, and able to walk. He could, however, still function normally within his Iron Man armor. The microchip device was later implanted in Stark spine that enables him to walk a move normally once again.

If you really want to make the great "I"ronman cool, I suggest to remove the muscle alloy from him. Metal cannot gain muscle and this lesson is available at school and out of space. Do you hear that guys, no problemo.

Here, he takes out Graviton. This is a cool display of power for him (especially cool, since Graviton just owned the Avengers like babies, and well, if you knew about Graviton, he's tough, to say the least).

Sentry shows up, and Tony gets knocked out of a building, and resuits in seconds. He then tries to take the fight out of the city, and gets cheapshotted. Now, this is where the fight is usually shown to end on the forum...
But, in the next comic, Tony gets up, and punches Sentry right in the face, right away. He then takes Sentry out by using Cloc, but it's still a better showing, then let on in the previous comic. He also takes some big blows, and is still standing, or fighting.

In another story set far in the future, Tony's body is dead, but his consciousness remains intact.

What's remarkable is, Tony found a way to send his consciousness across vast distances and merge it with 'hollow' IM vessels, animating them.

Also, should the IM vessel his consciousness is residing in at the time be destroyed, it will simply seek out one of the other IM vessels, constantly being built], and merge with it.

Keep in mind, both of these actions occur instantly...

Generally speaking, there's never really a specific timeframe I've seen, correlating to how long it takes Tony to build some of his various armors. Said armors' seem to either a.) always be there when he needs them - or b.) he builds them as a spur of the moment thing.

And of course we know that even if we never really see a certain armor again, it hasn't necessarily been 'trashed', but rather placed in Tony's armory, ready to use at any given time.

The Stealth Armor (Mk III)..


The Stealth armor was created to be 'invisible' to both radar, and the naked eye. It was also specifically designed to combat the Black Panther's anti-metal vibranium claws.

The Ablative Armor (Mk I)..


This prototype suit utilizes armor made out of three-inch tiles, piled several layers thick. Each tile is made of high-impact polymer. If one of the tiles is damaged, it pops off and the next one below it is snapped into place.

Furthermore, the suit uses repulsor-tech force fields to both position new tiles, and to act as a first line of defense. The tiles are continuously produced in a "polymer kiln" on the suit's back. The Ablative armor can also create a "storm cloud" of thousands of orbiting tiles around itself acting as a "chaff" to knock out incoming projectiles:

Tony fabricated the Neo-Classic armor from scratch - in a matter of weeks:

The Arctic Armor..


This armor is able to utilize liquid nitrogen, to cryogenically freeze an enemy. It can also create opposing magnetic fields around said enemy, forcing the atoms of their body to repel each other - causing them to tear apart:

Upon studying Peter's 'Spider-Sense', Tony was able to isolate it's frequency, and create a neural-net which replicated it. This, not only gave Tony his own 'Spider-Sense', but also allowed him to negate Peter's completely:
