My Laptop has a DVD/CD drive (obviously), but for some reason, the drive does not work anymore. It isnt even listed under My Computer. So in other words, the computer isnt even detecting the drive, making it impossible to use any cds or dvds. I am confused as to what is causing this and I would appreciate any help or advice available. Thanks.

Well I solved the problem by restoring the computer to a couple weeks ago, and I beefed up my virus/spyware protection, so hopefully there will be no more problems
