Someone Like You

To quench the lust of burning hearts,
A gossamer afterimage of wonder,
As infinite in ways as time and space,
Spinning webs of mystery as fine as lace.
Someone to fix a world torn assunder,
Someone like you

To ensnare my soul with an artists mind,
Purer than untouched sylvan lands.
A form rolling like the verdanant hills,
Effeminant peaks to shaply grooved rills.
Someone to cradle my worh effate hands,
Someone like you

To mingle our feeling, passionate fires.
Free as Zues's vengance tearing blue skies,
Swallowing existance in hasty ways,
Caprice as a pixie on passing days.
Someone to shield me from my own webbed lies,
Someone like you

To brighten my darkest, direst of hours;
The light shining through the cold driving rain.
An empathetic angel, oh how free,
A primal connection between her and me.
Someone to understand and share the pain,
Someone like you

Lustful Intent

The night stood towering up over him,
Peering upon the light in twighlights dim.
Expectancy filling those lustful eyes,
Waiting patiently for the days demise.

It starts with a gentle lovers embrace;
A tender placed upon his warm face.
Passionatly the lights garb slips away,
And the features of night are bared to day.

The spectral darkening bosom of night,
Engorging the day in a grasp to tight.
Shadows flowing like the unseen river;
Light forcing into her, merely a sliver.

At last the efforts of light are finished;
Gone over the horizon, diminished.
For at the threat of night the day is spent,
Finishing her act with lustful intent.

Lonliness
The gray man walked down the beach, echoes of laughter of children played through his mind. The waves wash away the tiny footprints in the sand. At the edge of the shore shells lie ungathered and castles go unbuilt. The sun glows red and dim far on the horizon. The gray man's footprints leave less of a mark with every step, before being washed away forever. The gray man looks up and sees a woman far down the shore. Someone he might once have loved, but with the hurt, can't bear to love once more. The Moon stares down mockingly at the gray man. "My party is just starting!" the Moon mocks. "See the stars join me as I frolic in the sky, as you tread upon the Earth, no companion but the sand." The gray man looks to the Moon, watching the party start. he looks away, he can no longer watch. the gray man now runs, to a destination unknown.. The gray man falls, feeling the cool embrace of the damp earth, he knows he won't be alone anymore...

I will Be
Every child knows
the caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
Ugly duckling turns to swan
like leaves changing colors
(When I Grow Up)
personal magic for everyone,
always a happy ending
guaranteed.

(When I Grow Up I Will Be)

Child fades into adolescence, always
and wraps in the cocoon of clothes, hair, makeup
hard shell to keep everyone out
(so long Mom, see you in the spring)
and like Alice's caterpillar must ask
"Who are you?"

(I Will Be)

larval human, growing under the masking shell.
crackling towards adulthood and purpose
cocoon spiderwebbing like sugarpane glass
peeking out at reality through the cracks, to see
promised destiny perhaps?

(Will Be)

Eager youth, pushing free
"Who am I?"
sudden blasted chill of dark winter wind
cutting fear, come out too soon!
nothing outside but freezing void, unprepared
adultchild keening, flailing, bleeding
half-formed and unalive, bits of self
still adhered to shell, tearing away with struggle
(let me OUT)
too soon, too eager, adultchild tries to retreat into ruined home
skinned oyster on the half-shell
dying larval creature, twitching insectile

"Such is the cruelty of nature, and the balance. Sometimes a creature is born merely to die, purposeless."
Screaming
Aborted
Bastard
Chrysalis
Thing.Someone Like You
