I closed my eyes to the pain of the day
Hoping it would all just fade away
But that is impossible even in dreams
Even when sleeping I still hear screams

Trying to escape this torment I feel
I go to a place where dreams are real
There is no escape except to come here
Where tears flow and there is only fear

I dream of a place where pain is fake
Smiles are real and it's easy to take
A place where you can breathe with ease
Do whatever you wish just how you please

Wishing I could stay here and never go back
I realize my reality is only cold and black
But the only way to stay here is to die
It would be easier for the tears that I cry

My heart is so empty and my blood aches
Scars are tearing from what it takes
My painful dreams will never tell
Where I have gone cause I'm now well

But the morning will never come for me
Cause this is the way that it had to be
And this is all that I could do to get away
Because this had become my only way

They'll know in the morning when I won't wake
My pain was just too much for me to take
With my wrists flowing the blood of my pain
This was my last nightmare dripped from each vein

Morose suffering in the clenches of reality. The poems ok, just try to find a less cliche theme for your next poem.

Don't be offended now, I'm merely trying to help your creative juices flow, it's obvious you can compose a well written poem, now spur on into lands of prose unconquered by your comtemporaries.
