glancing through some old books i realized how much i used to enjoy longshot. so, thoughts on the battle?

Batman's gadgets will probably misfunction...

Is Longshot even human?

nope. here's a quick rundown on some of his powers:

<<Known Superhuman Powers: Longshot was genetically engineered to have certain superhuman abilities. One of these is his ability to affect probability fields through psionic means in order to give himself "good luck" in his activities. This power operates even when Longshot does not consciously will it to do so. However, by creating "good luck" for himself, Longshot creates an equal and opposite effect elsewhere, thus creating "bad luck." This "bad luck" could affect someone else, or could conceivably even affect Longshot himself at some point.

Longshot can telepathically "read" the recent memories of a person by making physical contact with him or her. Moreover, Longshot can read "psychic imprints" that people leave on objects that they have handled. The stronger the person's emotion while handling the object, the stronger the psychic imprint he or she leaves on it. In reading the psychic imprint on an object. Longshot can learn the thoughts that the person who previously handled the object had while handling it. Strangely enough, if a person will handle the object in the future, Longshot can, in the present, read the thoughts that that person will have when handling it in that future time.

Longshot has hollow, bird-like bones, but musculature like an Earthman's. Hence, he is capable of superhuman agility.

Longshot's left eye glows with a bright light whenever he employs one of his superhuman powers.

Weapons: Longshot carries a number of cleaver-like blades, which he can hurl with great accuracy.>>

i think he can take down bats.

Bats sleeping/knock out gas will go off before throws it, knocking himself out.

heheheh. Longshot will catch one of Batman's batarangs, and get a good idea of what Batman and Robin really do in the Bat-cave.

I always liked longshot just because of his powers.

In theory, he could be unbeatable.....but I think his luck power only works across short distances.

His luck doesn't last forever. Long fight : Batman wins, short fight : fifty fifty.

With Batman`s recent year of bad luck, theres no way Longshot will lose.

Does anyone remembers his mini? Now that was sweet. Odd, but sweet.

Yeah, an elephant who's just eaten C-4 explosives and 12 live grenades will start to cuddle with Batman...Bruce doesn't stand a chance against a power this random and hard-to-plan-for.

Longshot would win this. If he knew that he had to beat this guy, Longshot's probability affecting abilities will kick into high gear, making Batman's attacks either uneffective, break (if they're gadgets I mean), or just miss completely. While Longshots attacks would mostly hit Batman, since his good luck allows him to do some crazy things at times.

I'd give it to Longshot. Batman would never have seen anything like him before. It'd be as if Scarlet Witch fought Batman. Pretty much same idea here.

Batman could win...but it'd be a longshot. (no pun intended)

batman goes for a kick and slips and falls on his butt and breaks his hip.

Can't be mad at him though...I tried to find it on the search and it "found" it, but I couldn't find the actual thread (it plunked me down in the middle of about a bagillion threads, and none were longshot vs. Bats...even though I know it happened recently).

if u guys say that then y not say longshot could beat superman its not really fair saying batman will lose to longshot just becuz longshot is lucky i mean all batman has to do is get close and land a punch and wins.

Yeah, simple right? Except it's never that easy with Longshot. Longshot probably would beat Superman. Or, more likely, something random would happen and Longshot would end up escaping...rather than a flat-out win. The luck always works, and it's one of the hardest powers ever to account for.
