I dont use the words 'I Love You' very often or lightly. Only 2 people have ever really been loved by me... My brother and my ex. I was wondering how much value you guys put in these words.

I agree. I have come across people who throw around 'I love yous' like candy on Halloween. I think if people stopped and thought about what it means to LOVE someone they wouldn't say it as much.

The last guy who told me... 'i love you' broke my heart.. i dont velive in love anymore...It just uses you then spits you out when its done

Yes Allyn is a sweetie...But love gave up on my ages ago..so why hold my breathe..Im not bitter just realistic...and my future will be the same as my present..and you know why..because im not the same girl i was yrs ago..i dont give my heart to just anyone...

I have never used these words in my whole entire life because I have never been loved. Ok maybe my parents say it but its been a long time ago since they have said that. Since I havent found my true love yet that is why I feel like this. Maybe things will change in the near future.

I only use it when I'm talking to Storm I say it a lot tho, I don't believe that takes away the meaning

Alot of people think I'm incapable of love, they find me to be cold and distant. I laugh at misery, go out of my way to cause discomfort, am sortof a creep, and hell, I don't even tell my mom I love her.. (I do tell her however my life would suck without her because she DOES support me..)

Love is definitely a beautiful thing. I am beginning to think there is a right person for everyone at specific times in our lives and that right person changes or maybe not with each new chapter in our lives.

I value these words more then words can say and I dont take them lightly. More people should tell their loved ones more often that they love them. Does it not make you (you in general) feel good when you are told so? Its a blessing to me to be told by my family 'I love you'...not everyone has this in their life. Its an amazing feeling to hear my daughters tell me 'I love you'....and no words in any dictionary is good enough to describe the feelings I feel when Alex has told me...'I love you'.

Omfg.. my son picked my a daisy today and when i said what was it for...he said cause your my mummy and i love you..

that was truely amazing.

My downfall due to my past..was i always fought i needed love to make me feel complete..and yes i had afew admirers online and off..but when my ex who loved me enought to ask me to marry me dumped me cause he wasnt ready...i fought tht love was threw with me..But who knows hey..Maybe there is someone out there for everyone.. if there is..then in time i know i'll meet mine..

and for all thoses who like me dont believe in it..remember you have to kiss alot of toads before finding your prince..

Recently I said those 3 words again to the same ex. After everything I think I love her even more than before. It's so amazing that we are friends to this day.

depends...i say that a lot in the platonic sense,cuz i truly love my friends.so many of them too.

in the other sense though....never.

I don't say it anymore, even to my last girlfriend I never said it... just never found it worth it.

I use those words in two different contexts...one is for my family and friends, the other is in the romantic sense, as in, I'm in love with you. I've only used it with one person that way.

I told my nephew last week that I loved him, and I told my friend yesterday that I loved her.

My friend is always telling me how much she loves me.. It freaks me out!

I do not use these three words very often, and it is only spoken to those that I truly love.

My Wife, parents and children.


To say 'I love you' to anyone that you don't truly love, lessens it for those that you do.

I can't stand people that write letters, PMs, or emails and end it with a 'Love ya'

Yeah, I rarely say it... My friend says it all the time to me, but not in a stupid way

People use the words "I love you" for many things, but when it comes to a more intimate setting, It's ususally danced around .....never really said, well in most instances at first.

Very true, that I love you is thrown around in such a blatently common manner, however the value of the words still holds strong for some people. Much like saying "Hate." Hate and Love are on opposite sides of such a spectrum. You cannot have one without the other.

"Love" is a word that only works at the right time. And there has to be some history behind it. You can't just do someone one night and say you love them. My brother actually made a decision that you shouldn't use the word "love" until you've known someone for 2 years. It's a long way to wait, but if it lasts that long you must love each other.

I find it really hard to say it, even though I do!

i never use the words i love you..it only brings heartache

I can talk about it, like you know reffering to someone saying " I love you" but If i have to say it to someone and mean it, I CANNOT do it.

I dont know how people can say it so casually every so often.

Saying "I Love You" can freak anyone. There's an old saying, "Actions speak louder than words." If you really love someone, then you would do anything for them, even die for them if necessary. As for me I used the word "I Love You." Right now I'm trying to tell this girl I love her but I can't bring myself to tell her because it might change our friendship drastically. Hopefully I'll ask her out and then tell her when the time is right.

It is hard to know when you are in love... and hard to tell when somebody actually loves you back. I speak from experience... TRUST ME.

But, if you play it safe and don't take chances, you might miss out on the best part of being alive.

I never took the chance, and after a long year things have never really changed. I missed the one guy my heart wanted. I am just hoping that this time, things will change.

I have never told someone I loved them Well i have but we were just messing around.

I've never liked someone enough to even considering falling in love in the first place. I'm not very easy...
