Why do threads close?

if they've been off-topic for a long time, if they're pointless, if they're spamming, etc. then the mods close them,

The "limit" is 100 posts...unless its very on-topic at 100 which around here is most unusual.

Yup. We can sometime keep threads on topic, but it's ver, very rare.
