The capicity for stupidity is already there, Things such as hip-hop, moronic things that their parents do and rub off on them, TV, etc are what push it to them.

And I've seen all of those, I'm 15, I listen to "Hip-hop" mainly mainstream, I watch TV... not much, and I've seen my dad do Stupid things... am I stupid?

What I reckon is that even if a person has stupid parents etc. the effect is neutered slightly if they also hang out with smart people.

Florida has some of the stupidest people on the planet. Not only did we have trouble voting in 2000, but SpellJammer has tooken the liberty at looking at school records of students in Florida, the smartest among them are "above average" at best. Which was probably why when SpellJammer took an IQ test as a child he was near genious level, because this was by Florida standards..

None of those, are making our children stupid. I think it is just a scapegoat, to use one of the above to blame, for the real reason behind our children's stupidity. The real, problem is within the household it's self. The parents, are the one to blame, because, it's their actions, that dictate, how the kids will be. The conditions, and how children are raised/ watching their parent's behavior, has a great impact on the issue, of the matter. The amount of time, one spends with there kids, and the feed back whether it be, positive or negative, it will affect the over all outcome, of children.

It could influence, a little, depending on the root of the problem, are how the parents raise them.

If raised well, then they wouldn't react to rap in a negative way.

If they were raised in a different way, then sponge bob, could make people into killers, but were taught not to take it seriously.

Rap and the other things listed, are just escape goats.

Escape goats that make kids use words like "krunk" and "biotch".

i think what makes our children "stupid" is the fact that as the human race is becoming more techonogically advanced, the desire for learing and the urge to use their common sense slows down. Parents also share their part of the blame for not being there when they have to work long hours at the job to put food on the table and a roof over their head so they "babysit" the child with video games and TV(no so much liberal media cause i see politics leaning way to the conservative right) and without the parental guidance the children lose the urge to think for themselves. Rap i dont think plays a factor in making a person stupid. Reason being im sure if someone found the right beat and put Shakespeare to it, it would be called rap.....I think everyone shares a little bit of blame in why people nowadays are becoming dumber than ever....
