I have read countless of recent articles discussing the next generation James Bond candidates and none of them have mentioned Christian Bale. Actually this is over exagerated I did read one article dated back to 2001 where he was mentioned as a candidate. When comparing Bale to the other candidates he is, by far, the most well suited and would bring a more serious side to the James Bond.
