I've added a new feature that allows you the ability to quickly edit your message straight from thread. Hopefully this will be useful to most of you.

Please be sure to test it out and post any problems here.

It's excellent, but I didn't get subscribed

this edit thing is wierd, when i edit a post, it messes up some of the words

when i click advanced, it sends me back to KMC main page

er...I went to edit out a smilie, and a run time error came up...which didn't really make sense

I don't recall the actual post, but there was a "" at the end that I went to edit out, and when I clicked 'save', a little pop-up blurb came up saying run-time error. When I went to the advanced option to edit the old style it worked fine. Haven't run into that problem since yet, either.

And I use Internet Explorer.

new thingie has no spellchecker

But I don't click it twice, I just do it once.

As far as I can tell, it does that when the quick edit hasn't worked. Had that crop up a few times.

for me it works as i said

one click > quick edit
double click > old edit


i've just checked.

It's been happening with me too, seemingly randomly.

Also, when one goes to add in tags, such as italicization, is it supposed to go to the 'advanced' edit? Nearly every time I've tried adding in tags, it returns to the old edit page, even if it's completely unnecessary.

I can't remember the exact posts it happened on, it was a couple in this thread.

I don't know if that is what lana meant but I have a, well mionor problem, but it kind of destroys the advantage of the quick edit.

When I click on edit it first goes to the quick edit screen, but then it will only edit it right away half the time while the other half it will bring me back to the old edit screen.........

I found an astounding pattern...when there is a quote in my Quick Edit box it will lead me to the old Edit Screen when in hiut save..whule when theree's no quote in there it will jsut change it right away......

You mean when you want to edit a post, it only does quick edit when there's no quote in your post?

Yes, I am rather sure of that actually

I tested it in my Batcave .... I think I am right...question would be what happens with other tags like Image, Url, and similar....

That's odd, I'm able to Quick Edit when there's a quote in my post....

It just happened to me... I quoted someone's post and then had to edit, and it took me to the old edit page.

Just to let you know, I Quick Edited just now and it let me do it, and there was a quote in my post shock

I've clicked on edit. ONCE and got to the old page.

Well I a rather positive mine isn't...well it'S working just fine....only that one tiome it edits old way and one time Quick....I don't really mind thoug

You know, my experiences are the same? I can't quick edit when there is a quote.

Yeah, I noticed that problem in IE.

However, I get no such problems in Firefox. You haven't switched?

Lord no, can't stand Firefox- things like Notpron don't work well on it. I can live with the editing!

I'm using Firefox and I've had it happen a few times, but not often.

I've just made some changes that should make it work better with IE. Including fixes with quotes and special characters.
