I feel your pain, I cut all my long hair off on Saturday, it's now less than an inch long from being part way down my back, I think it's good though, except for the cool breeze around my neck and back of my head, plus the constant feeling light-headed and that I appear to have lost all my strenght

You included the word "anything" in the brackets. The derivated meaning then turns to "I wouldn't do ANYTHING to make them change their hair" but the fact that you'd be disturbed by it still remains. Whether you express yourself on it or not, you're still bothered by it.
