In honour of our friend armandovalles, who keeps running this play until it works, a special twist on the matchup. Ben gets a rematch with Supes, and has declared it - Guranteed Win night!
Why? He's been granted a special honour - for one day, he can borrow a single power from FIVE different individuals in the Marvel or DC Universe; only restrictions is that its persons below skyfather/highfather levels, and no access to spell-casting power. Make note: just one per person. If he borrows ability to fly, it's that person's flying and that's it.
So - Ben is hitting the books doing research. What powers does he need to overcome the versatility of Superman?
Opinions.

He needs the flight speed and experience plus manouvers of Northstar, the strenght of Thor or Beta Ray Bill, the supercharged brain activity of current Quicksilver, Wonder Man's durability addedd to his own, Havok's energy blasts.

I readthe other thread where Armandovalles had all sorts of Thing assists added to it. For example he wanted Supes to have one hand tied behind his back, plus he couldn't use any of his other powers (flight, speed, eye blasts, super breath), couldn't knock the Thing outside the ring etc. Oh, plus the Thing had prep time with Reed, and had 2 free shots against Superman.
The problem is that it just made the Thing look even more pathetic than he usually is. If he needs all those restrictions just to have a fighting chance (and even then, on that thread, the Thing still wouldn't have won), it is just sad.
I don't know why Aramandovalles keeps on seeking to pit the Thing versus Superman ......they are simply not on the same level. It is that simple.
Anyways, on this new thread. The fact that the Thing still has to rely on cheating ....and it is cheating ....to even have the breath of a chance just shows one thing. He has already lost before the figth has even began.
As i said on another thread, if the Thing wants to tangle with someone he should go find Colossus. And even then he would probably still lose.

One major change you would have to make in your list is substituting the brain activity of QuickSilver with that of the Flash. The perceptual acuity of Quicksilver is too slow for Superman. Even the current QuickSilver couldn't cut it.

This fight would go like the Thing versus the Champion fight. Thing will never give up and Superman wont kill him. So Superman will eventually concede the fight instead of killing the Thing.
