Spelljammer
Alot of people ask me "SpellJammer, what's an rpg?" "Tabletop?" "Why do LARPers get punched in the throat?"
Well, the last question is for advanced classes, but the first two happen often and I explain to them what an rpg is. It's differant from story telling rpg which i consider to be the devil's work because there's no rules or system, it's chaos! Tabletop or atleast video game rpgs have set rules and actually make some sense. (some more then others) espeicaly with tabletop because the GM can change some of the rules to better signift realism, game balance, and not just "I'm god and go boom".
And to better understand the rpg-gamer frame of mind. Please sit through this video. I'm sure both rpg and non-rpg gamers alike will enjoy it. All people do fall under one of the four categories..
