This is getting out of hand...and yes I have a pop up blocker and it makes the page shift every time it has to block up a damn pop up. Whats with all of these things?

There's pop up discussion all over the place right now. Why are they here? And why aren't they being removed? detective

They're becoming increasingly irksome

Yeah I know before I turned off the "Firefox has blocked a popup" bar it'd come up about every 2 pages.

but it can be that pop up blocker bar is not appearing, but i didn't turn it off... i think

I turned mine off too, but I'm still getting pop ups that aren't caught by my blocker.

I keep on getting "mates" pop-ups.

I use Firefox, and ANY time I open a new topic, it gives me a pop-up.

This is incredibly irksome, especially when it causes my Winamp to skip, and makes the browser slow. (Messed up scrolling/text appearing when typing)

I use a Google-Bar and it blocks about 22 pop-ups a day from kmc alone.

Its also got a spell-check.

I've been assured that the advertiser that was causing the popups has been dumped, so no more popup bombs.

I was getting them myself, thankfully they have stopped now.

I dont see the pop-up I get "Pop-up blocked, a sound and the pages shifts everytime it blocks one. Which is about every other page load.

Raz wants you to stop blocking it and take a picture of it so that he can suss who's ads they are, I think.

ok, i am going crazy. when i was on my bosses computer at work, i was getting like 6 or 7 a minute, and her comp has every feature possible on it, including pop up blocking. now i am home and they are occuring like 2 or 3 every minute. what gives?

I just had one blocked on the sign in page

same thing now. i am on another comp at work and i am browsing alot of sites. KMC is the only place where i receive popups, so it isnt an issue of having a popup blocker.

odd, me too and i'm on two other forums sites. annoying. in the last hour i've received 39 blocked pop-ups and 4 unblocked.

....can you guys read? Raz has asked that if you get popups, to post the links of the popup pages. Right-click the page, go to Properties (in IE) or View Page Info (in Firefox), copy the page URL that's listed, and post it here.

I have gotten pop ups from all the ones in the last 4 posts myself today as well. And Im getting them 2 at a time also.

I get a pop-up practically every time I change the page, post, etc. Have to sever the connection to get rid of them, there're so many.

For those experiecing popup problems, I would recommend you upgrade to Firefox 1.5 beta - it should stop all the popups.

This manual method is becoming too time consuming.

I think the best option would be if you got a decent popup blocker or upgraded to Firefox Beta 2.

It seems that the pop-ups are occuring randomly. We complain, Raz fixes something, we don't get any more for a while, and then suddenly they're back. I'm not getting them now... but I'm not counting on it staying that way. So I'm starting to think it is more likely to be the fault of the browser/pop-up blocker rather than KMC.

I just downloaded Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 {not the final release}. Hopefully this will help

I seem to have found the root cause of the problem, and hopefully, it should stop very soon.
