dubbed the world cup of motor sport...can it rival formula 1 as the dominant international racing tournament

teams represent countries rather than car manufacturers...

all drivers race in identical specification cars that are designed for maximum overtaking ability

yes..i've heard of it. sounds interesting....but i doubt it will rival f1 because of the immense bugets that f1 teams have. but..with the tech limtiations in f1..who knows?

budget doesnt mean entertainment...F1 has become stagnant and boring...i thought that schumacher being toppled would've livened things up a bit but its still as boring as ever...

an improvement on the last 5 seasons yes...but compared with other motorsport its relatively poor...

they should just remove the restrictions they imposed over the last few years and let formula one go total balls out speed

while the last few years were about which team was technically better...this year it seems about a combination of pure luck and using tactics to try and get around the restrictions

A1 is about driver skill and nothing else...as racing should be

perhaps...the technical level has some degree of limitation on differentiating the good drivers from the...err...fernando monteiros..but really good drivers usually get noticed anyway. it's always been that way.

as for removing restrictions in f1...well...that's daydreaming. these cars could literally take off. it would be a deathmatch
