For one who has near god like powers, missing a glove is pretty damn humiliating.

Now doesn't that just go to show that Silver Surfer may be able to fly at ridiculous speeds, but he's not necessarily able to perform precise maneuvers while doing so.

True... There's no denying that. Or it's entirely possible that Thanos anticipated it, and moved his hand away in the nick of time. Thanos does have god-like reflexes. I can't really comment, because I never read Infinity Gauntlet.

You do all realize that in the panel just before Surfer missed it shows an image of Thanos's eyes with a glimpse of Surfer in them, then he moves his hand.

He saw Surfer coming.

PG-13 site. It's also Surfer vs. a disembodied emotion....not exactly a real fight with a decidable outcome.
