I am just curious about who here has chronic illnesses or diseases

I have a disease myself...

Back in '99 I was diagnosed with it

I will probably talk more about it later...People get surprised that I have a disease (Do not know why)

I am bored

It does. I have to put this cream on it. It's not that bad anymore. With the cream you wouldn't even know I had it, thank God.

One of my symptoms is anemia (which means there is not enough iron in my blood)

My knees hurt right now.

another symptom is serious weight loss

in 1999 I was at 90 pounds

the doctor said if they didn't find what was causing it, i would have died

that puts some perspective on things

other things that can happen with my disease are

diarrhea, weight loss, weakness of the joints, fatigue, mouth sores, ulcers (very bad ones where it feels like someone is stabbing you in the stomach!), loss of appetite, stunt of growth, late development, anemia, bleeding, rectal bleeding, vomiting, high fever, abdominal pain, obstructive passages in the intestines (if it is very bad they will have to do surgery)

Some people have long periods of remission, sometimes years, when they are free of symptoms. However, the disease usually recurs at various times over a person's lifetime. This changing pattern of the disease means one cannot always tell when a treatment has helped. Predicting when a remission may occur or when symptoms will return is not possible.

I really don't have any illnesses, but I am a very emotional person. I may have a slight case of ADD or be a bit Bipolar, but thats me diagnosing myself. I'm sorry to hear about the diseases people have on here, I guess some of us really do have it lucky that we don't have any......
