Okay, I already asked for the Dungeons&Dragons game, but whoever is intersted can say here if they like some of these ideas I had and post thier own..

Materia:
That's right, as taken from FF7, these spheres can hold powers, power points, or both. But are very unstable and can cause many ill effects. Do you like the sound of nuclear fusion bassicaly in-game???

Gun-Blade:
A kickass exotic weapon. Interested?

Limit Breaks/Over Drives:
For melee characters who actually take the time to invest in dump stats like wis/cha, can gain special abilities. Sound cool?

Tired Hiker
I used to play DandD with the older kids when i was a kid. Then we got into Top Secret where my character died trying to sneak a pistol on an airplane. erm That pretty much sums up my whole gaming experience.

Tired Hiker
I was ten years old. erm

Actually Darksun is my second favorite campaighn. Though I'd deffinitly tone down "everyone is born psionic" tone and make it just a doom and gloom world with psionics.

Ofcourse when you take out the heavy psionics of Darksun, you bassicaly get Trigun. messed

MY favorite of all campaign is obviously "SpellJammer". Which is kindof like Star Trek meets Dungeons&Dragons. Exsept in D&D the alien races are alot meaner like how the drow/illthid rule the slave trade, dwarves and gnome's planets were destroyed, orcs are a long forgotten race that went extinct, haflings are second class citizens, and elves are bassicaly nazis. (Not the drow, i mean regular elves!)

It was a good movie in my opinion. It doesn't take your stereotypical party neither. Infact the movie in general is low-magick setting.

There's two rogues, one competant one, and Snail..
There's a dwarven fighter. Who's bassicaly like the one from Lord of the Rings if he took viagra..
And a very hot underage wizard girl..

How Snail was half-dragon..

Materia: For psions it's useless as you already have a psycrystal most likely. For mages and other stuff, sounds kinda crappeh

Gun Blade: just........no

Limit Breaks/Over Drives: errrr......no

Actually I may call them these things but they are tremendously differant from what they originaly did.

Limit-Breaks/Over-Drives serve as sortof special abilities gained only for melee classes who don't use magick or psionics. They gain "points" do to wis/cha modifiers. And they can spend these points to obtain limit breaks or overdrives.

Materia does something like, maybe cast a level 9 spell you know for free, but at the cost of something. Like say, you take con damage, could possibly end up dazed for several rounds, I'm ussualy pretty conservative with magick items, and sense materia would be cheap and abudant. You might find it useful. Like nuclear energy.

The way you describe Materia sounds like some of the spells out of Book of Vile Darkness and Book of Exalted Might, where you have to "sacrifice" something to make the spell more potent.

I see no need for Limit-Breaks/Over-Drives. You get what you want when spending points for the attributes you don't use often. These bonuses are in the form of better saves, etc. etc. No need to go overboard and give special abilities. That's what prestige classes are. You give part of your training up to focus in certain areas.

Inspectah Deck
Limit-breaks and Gun Blades. May I suggest potions/scrolls?
