List some of The Loudest Bands that you have seen live or have known about because of their reputation... Remembering that there shoud be equal energy on stage aswell as loudness.

A Small Listing:

*Big Country
*The Kinks
*Fleetwood Mac
*Queen
*The Skids

I saw Queen when I was a kid, they weren't too loud, but what a great show.

Saw big Country back in the 80's, and they were indeed loud.

Fleetwod Mac put on a good concert, but they shouldn't make anyone's list as being too loud.

I'd say the loudest band that I've ever heard in concert has to be Metallica or Van Halen (once again back in the day).

I'm envious of you and a friend of mine, both of you saw Big Country live.

My friend told me that after Woodstock the band "Ten Years After" were the loudest band to date, but then along came
"Big Country" and they stole that reputation from them.

I have the DVD of Big Country - Live At The Glasgow Barrowlands, that is as close as I can get to a Big Country show now.

My friend who saw Big Country was a Roddie for The Kinks for about eight years. In the years leading up to the passing away
of Stuart Adamson, Stuart wrote two songs with Kinks front man Ray Davies and those songs were recorded and released on
the final Big Country studio album that also coincided with their last concert tour.

the aborted.

The Highlord
Manowar is known to be one of the loudest bands if not the loudest band, often your advised to pup something in your ear if you at the front rows, because you'l start beeding out of your ear if not.

Otaku
Iron Maiden

It's_Alright
Black Sabbath, Guns n' roses, Queen (Fredie), Nirvana (a bit)... that's all...

I believe they hold the record for the loudest band ever.

That said, they suck.

Alpha Centauri
Melvins, without question.

-AC

SnakeEyes
Killswitch Engage and Avenged Sevenfold are probably the 2 loudest I've seen live...

PINBALL
Green Day (probably because it was inside) but my ears were ringing for days

Kumar
Aveneged Sevenfold. all the bands on the warped tour were pretty loud but it seemed like A7X got a significant amount louder when they came on. good show though, one of my favorites.
