morons are just ignorant as hell?

Maybe someone can explain this phenomenon of wearing a shirt depicting a mass murderer to me.

BackFire
It's just trendy, something little stupid high schoolers do to try and make a generic political statement. They think they're unique, though at the same time they're following a very basic trend. For more people commiting these acts, look towards goths and Emo's. They think they're unique even though they look and act just like all of the other people in their little trendy group.

You'll also probably find that most people just wear the shirt because they've seen it on some websites and is readily available at Hot Topic.

GCG
Its a symbol of rebellion ; and thats as far as they get to give you an explanation.

Solo
It's going to really get neat when someone who actually wears a Guevara shirt gives us his explanation.

GCG
I knew a guy who wore that t-shirt and looked Aesthetically like him with the beret and all. But i dont see him around no more. I think he might have gone riding a motor-cycle in South America.

Spelljammer
They do the same with Charles Manson.

What's so funny about this country is they don't care when it's a serial killer or a commie, but when someone where's a swastika ohnoes! Rascism! And they lose all sense of incoherent speech and become screeching monkies.

The ignorance of our youth is only the tip of the iceberg to the ignorance of our society.. Someone has to raise these dumb ****s..

tabby999
yeah, generic rebellion. they dont know what he stands for but they know he was a rebel. in melbourne there was a shop that only sold Che merch, shoulder bags, flags, hats, shirts, jumpers, patches, buttons etc. i doubt many of the people in the store (as in the people buying the merch) would have know what he stood for. i'm sure the people who owned the place did, but hey, good on them for making a mint off of idiots

Spelljammer
What's wierd is if you want to be a communist, don't you want to AVOID trade whenever you can???

Ya Krunk'd Floo
I would never wear a Che T-shirt, but I think most of the posts in this thread display a level of ignorance that would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. Go do some research, fools...

And now, an example of irony:

God forbid someone should make a typo right?

Ass..

You call a few sentences 'typos'? I was referring to the asinine nature of your post in general. Here it is again, for everyone to enjoy:

Krunk, you have a point, a good one. But you are an ass.

Ya Krunk'd Floo
I wish you wouldn't define me by my love humps. I'm not just a cute chick with curves; I have a mind, too. Hmpf...

Syren
If I uttered desires regarding your mind you'd ask me what I was after, so I figured why not just go straight for the jugular naughty

If people had saw "The Motorcycle Diaries", they'd see what a fake this guy once was.

tabby999
Che or Ya Krunk'd Floo?

tpaquin
I despise tthe che shirt. I've thought, since I first saw it, that it was idiotic. I have a version of teh shirt, however, featuring the ape from Planet of teh Apes instead of Che. It's my silent protest.

I must have seen a different movie, because I felt that it perfectly - and beautifully - showed the birth of his incredible compassion for his fellow man.

Actually Che t-shirts were trendy in the 80s.

Che stands for revolution. He stands as a symbol not as a person.
Wearing Che t-shirt indicates support for revolution.

True....it's ore of a symbol for youthful rebellion...although I believe many don''t (didn't) know who Che actually was and what he stood for.

I have a flag of him, not because of his commercialised face but because of his fight for socialistic ideals (and of course his slightly anti-american views wink)

Because it's so against everything I beleive in...I can take it when peiople don't have a clue what they actually wear...or if they are stupid punks...but an intelligent being who seems to be knowledgable supporting it for the exact values Che stood for just hurts.......

if you mean for freedom, getting rid of dictatorships that deny their people any rights, keeping all the money for their own, being protective of the rich and any other things they do to hurt the workingclass, then I fail to understand how it can hurt.

(Generale note) If he would have fought for a free (unfair) market, he would have been named an american hero roll eyes (sarcastic)

bullshit, simply bullshit

Free Markets are the example of unfairness! How can someone who has absolutly NOTHING EVER get out of their situation in a liberal system? They simply can't! In a communistic or a socialistic system, they make sure that everyone is on the bandwagon and not only the rich ones. Free markets are neat if you're rich and can profit from it, if you're not, it simply sucks cause the state doesn't help you. With communism it does, the only bad side of it and THAT is what scares most away of it is that you don't have anyone that's rich.

Massacre... if I'm not mistaken, the dictatorships he threw over killed much more, he had to start up from scratch.
Hate... hate against capitalists that have financialy and most of the time also demographicly murdered the poor countries? why not? they have picked them bald
Communism... that's what makes him great to start with, I love communism. It's the best government there is ever possible, only humans aren't made for it but we can still hope

Spelljammer
We can only have a communism once our enemies have been dealt with. Trust SpellJammer on this one. Hense the rapture..

amity75
It IS a cool image of Che but then again people forget that "freedom fighters" tend to murder people for political gain and that makes them no better than a guy who murders an innocent in the street in my opinion. And apparently Che was REALLY smelly as he never washed. And he couldn't grow a proper beard. Oh, and never trust a guy who wears a beret...

One of the best portrayals of the type of person who wears a Che shirt was in one of the more recent episodes of South Park.

The collegian hippies were invading South Park and ended up putting on a big hippy concert with shitty hippy music.

Anyways, one of the hippies was going on about revolution against corperations in between his puffs of pot while standing there doing nothing about anything he was complaining about, all the while wearing a Che shirt. So much ironic truth in that portrayal, it was hilarious. Then when someone retorted against him he simply said "Psh, you just haven't been to college yet, once you go to college it really opens your eyes on the truth" *puffs on weed*. Classic.

i agree, the theory behind communism is solid, but humans just cant hack not being able to be more important than other humans. i must praise the US government, they've sowed the seeds of distrust damn deep, people still think the idea of Communisim is evil and going to ruin the world. it'll only ruin the world if you think everyone getting a fair go is evil ya douches. the best way i've heard Communisim described is "from a distant a diamond, up close, a tear drop"

At least he didn't say "Cereal" Killer. On a side note, who the hell is Che whatshisface? Never heard of him. When I opened this thread, I thought it was about a Latino Soccer Team.

I don't mind people wearing Guevara t-shirts. If they want to do it. Let them wear them. But if they think that wearing the t-shirt automatically makes them a communist or socialists then they're pretty stupid. Is like my self as an example....I wear Batman t-shirts...therefore I'm Batman? Get real. I'm not that much of a dork.

Spelljammer
Good way to cover your tracks Wind Dancer, they aren't onto the fact that you are infact The Batman. wink

Or did SpellJammer just ruin that for you? evil face

Anyway, yes, most of these young teenage dipshits are so high up on trying to rebel against the Republicans (partialy do to brainwashing by teachers in our liberal schools), that they don't even realize what the alternative IS..

Thier rich pastey asses couldn't deal with a socialism/communism. Then they wouldn't have thier name-brand clothes, thier yummy bagels, thier nice cars, and thier Ipods which they use to chat with friends.. Americans are so sheltered and progressively whiney it's disgusting..

soleran30
LOL anyway on the topic of the shirt it is kinda lame but I think the teens are mostly rebelling from authority wouldn't matter if Howard Dean said no or Kerry......but hey thats how youths predictably act.......lol
