Alright, of all the Handbook-style books out there, the Secrets of the House of M book is the newest, and that is the Colossus version that we all know from Astonishing X-Men, but in the SOTHOM book it says Colossus' max strength is to the point where he can ALMOST press 85 tons. So i think all the hype about him being Class 100 is false unless someone can prove me otherwise from a scan from some other source. And yes, i know Ultimate Colossus is Class 100 easily but im not talking about him this is 616 were talking about here. So wut does everyone think of that?
Swanky-Tuna
I saw a scan that said ultimate colossus was like class 16
armandovalles
yea that was from a wizard that was so wrong tho.

well as an x-man colossus was seen to work out many times , but in the house of m he is a peaceful farmer.
you have to give that some thought too.
GalacticStorm
Also everyones been changed by Wanda. So while colossus in the house of m might be class 85 he certainly wasnt in 616

Um. The same Handbook says Thing ain't Class 100 either...

Handbooks are dumb...they all downgrade the characters and let the writers go way beyond what they're supposed to be able to do. By now I think most informed readers (the majority of this forum included) realize this and just learn to disregard the handbooks for the most part. Aside from Wanda messing with Colossus, he definitely doesn't max out at 85.

yeah right this was the gut who towed a submarine to shore.

colossuys is definatley clas100 now. he was on the cusp of it when he succumbed to the legacy virus, but it turened out that he didnt die but rahter his body just went in a catatonic state, a state that mimmcked death....next thing you know that alien guy they beat down, when they went to rescue him, was mucking with his genes all this time and unlocked his full potential.....bear in mind also that even the old school handbooks alwys said that, piotr is just a teenager and his full potential will be unleashed once he reached adulthood, and he's a grown ass man now, so it makes sense that he's class 100.
whether he is upper or lower class remains to be seen , but he's at least stronger than current juggernaut tho, who even though he only has a fraction of the power he once weilded is STILL class 100.

In the 2003 Ultimate guide to the X-men it clearly says that Colossus can lift over 100 tons. Ill scan it if I have too.
armandovalles

Do you believe it now?

HisMajestyAC43
this just goes to show that most handbooks are innacurate when compared to actual feats...
then again, i don't think i could expect a feat based in-depth look at every single character that goes into one of those handbooks... :/

i thught juggeranaut was back to classic strength
quote wikipedia -----------
"As of New Excalibur issue #3, however, Juggernaut seems to be back at full strength. He easily powered through the combination of the evil version of Jean Grey's telekinetic onslaught and the evil version of Cyclops' full assault optic blast with no ill effects to himself. Juggernaut also easily withstood an ice barrage from the evil version of Iceman, when it was seen that in Uncanny X-men issues #410-411 that he could not then withstand an assault from Iceman. He still, however, does not possess his mystical armor and remains susceptible to attacks on his mind and senses by telepaths"

Thing and Colossus are in 616 are Class 100 says the 2005 handbook.
Thing in Ultimate is about Class 100 or maybe more.
Colossus is way over Class hundred. He stops a huge express train which is about 300-350tons. Without any big effort he stops it.

handbooks are the devil.

While I am not directly saying Colossus is class 100. But the definition of class 100 is being able to consitantly lift over 100 tons. Now I realize alot of class 75 etc. characters have lifted over 100 tons. But in the 2006 X-Men guide it says Colossus can now lift over 100 tons. Then there is the Marvel Legends action figure box on the back which has him listed at level 7 in strength which is class 100. So you can draw your own conclusions but he does have official Marvel bios claiming he is.
I do think Colossus is stronger than guys like Thing, Rhino, Sasquatch, etc. for those reasons.

Your going to base his strength off an action figure box....
Wow...

Yeah
The last GOOD handbook was the 80's one.
And even that was kind of messed up.
