They have to kill him. Remember the Avengers have a month of prep. The Gauntlet combatants have none. For the last battle(if they make it), All members allied with the Avengers have a month of prep. Galactus doesn't. No Ultimate Nullifier, No IG, No Cosmic Cubes, NO HOTU.

all before are easy

They easily get past 6. King Thor alone could probly take out a 25% Galactus and then everyone else gangs up on Stardust.

They'd probly get past 7 too. Sersi can keep Strange occupied. King Thor & Quasar could take out Dormammu. Binary & Everyone else can take out Shuma Gorath, then everyone comes to the aid of Sersi and now it's everyone against Strange.

They easily beat a full powered Galactus. In my opinion Full Power Big G is equal to 3 high-level Skyfathers. King Thor is one, Binary is close to one, Genis is close to if not one, Thanos is close to one, Champ w/ Power Gem is close to one, plus there's other extremely powerful guys like SS, Quasar, Mar-Vell, Sersi, Strange, Magus, Warlock, and then add the distractions and physical damage from the powerhouses like Savage Hulk, Immortal Hercules, Namor, Wonder Man, and Gilgamesh! I think Big G's screwed.

Plus with Tony Stark there and gettin a month of prep, Big G or anyone else for that matter has no chance.
