What do you get when you mix a Resident Evil-style corporation with some lumberjacks? A forest filled with zombies, if the new indie Severed is to be believed!
I hadn't heard of this one before, but Twitch Film has the trailer and it looks promising, at least on the bloodshed gauge. And Carl Bessai's flick obviously isn't some "shot on a weekend with friends" cheapie -- there's some recognizable faces in the cast, most namely the guy who gets bisected by lethal glass in the 13 Ghosts remake, and the President's assistant on the new Battlestar Galactica series.
The movie involves environmental activists dealing with savage infected loggers who have a newfound craving for human flesh. You really have to appreciate a trailer that ends with the phrase "Get the axe!".
