One of the first DC comics i read was the issue where the big 7 have been possessed by some aliens that they had defeated ages ago. The alien things have wiped their memory of the newer JLA members and have the original 7 off collecting some rocks or something. Anyway, each of the 7 ends up fighting one or two of the newer members, and in then end they all team and win the day. Used to love that comic...
