Kyle and Hal (gl) vs Quasar , Photon

bro kgkg stop makin the Photon threads cuz then i HAVE to post in em cuz i seem to be the only one here with ANY knowledge of Genis (now called Photon) whatsoever. lol Genis' team wins. Genis teleports Kyle away, then they beat up Hal, then they find Kyle and beat up on him.

Teleporting Kyle will accomplish what? He'd just home in on Hal's GL ring and open a wormhole to his location.

actually a fair match... Photon>=hal>kyle>=quasar...hmmm

I would give it to team GL, as they've pulled off more rediculous feats.

I give it to Photon and Quasar. I like those characters more. Kyle's alright but Hal always annoyed me.

Photon could take either, and Quasar could go toe to toe with either for a fair while. Once Photon finishes Hal, they team up on Kyle.

is JLA/Avenger cannon?

Quasar can absorb energy.

Everyone in this match can absorb energy. I don't think that'd be a deciding factor.

Most of those scans are from Pre-Crisis era.

And all have hal saying shit like had to muster all by energy.

The same feat Photon did while holding back.

And that was pre-crisis

Photon seems to be just short of Skyfather level. That's packing more power than Hal. Current Hal isn't nearly as impressive as some of the crazier feats back in the day.

But then again, GL is one of the three most powerful instadeath characters on KMC, capable of doing whatever we want, since his powers are limited to OUR imagination.

LOL, very good, i thought im the kind thas never read a dc comic book, that is a very VERY pissed off hal after the destruction of coast city, superman never wanted to kill him, thats pretty obvious from the scans, and even though its been a while since ive read those again, but, isnt that hal with the OA energy just before his consuming of the creatur at the end of time and becoming PARALLEX?! that hal was a lot more powerful than any normal green lantern and was very PISSED. do u know what superman is capable of when hes pissed? well just for a reminder, he ripped apart a large moon of a planet when he found out that luthor became president and thats not exactly him at his BEST.

First and foremost, Hal wasn't using the Parallax energy. He was using a plain old ring. It's obvious when you consider he's wearing the ring on his hand.

Second, Hal wasn't going all out either. If he was he would have blasted Superman with concentrated Kryptonite radiation right from the get go. Then we have one dead Superman.

Dont get me wrong. I love Quasar alot but hes not on the level as the other 3 in this matchup. Absorbing techniques wont work here for good ol Quasar because hes not able to absord any energy type or outburst that is more powerful than his own. Secondly from what ive seen, hes never dished out a blast more powerful than 100 megatons. Any of the top 5 GL's can take that with ease.

Exactly. That's not too hard to understand. If you actually read the issue, they have Hal turn BACK into Parallax at the end of it which leads up to his sacrifice in The Final Night. You're giving Supes too much credit thinking he would last 4 pages with Parallax.

that is parallex, im not that dum, hes not at full power, understood, but he still is parallex, and he still is MAD, and also parallex DID have the ring on even in his most powerful form, normal gl's are not on par with surfer in my oppinion both powerwise and flexibility wise.

u know as well as everyone else that every character has high and low showings, if were considering all that gl bull cannon than maybe we should consider these feats as cannon too

supes
absorbed a warhead blast that could destroy an entire galaxy
defeated the entire gl corp single handedly movin faster than THOUGHT
defeated doomsday who also defeated the entire gl corp
can destroy the earth in a single punch
defeated lobo a few times who has shown to be able to defeat gods

and lets also throw in all the precrisis feats while were at it

precrisis supes
could travel faster than light and time travel
could destroy entire solar systems
was in TOUCH mentally with the entire universe and beyond
could punch through dimensions

I'm aware Supes absorbed the Magedon bomb. Kyle contained a Big Bang. I wonder which feat is greater.

I'm aware he beat Doomsday, after getting killed himself of course. Doomsday adapted to the Oan energy long ago when he came up against some scrub ring wielder just as he is now adapted to Superman. Superman can't lace Doomsday's boots.

I'd love to see you prove Supes can destroy Earth with a punch. Then again, John Stewart destroyed a planet on accident, Kyle destroyed Oa and here we have Vril Dox telling Kyle he can without a doubt level planets.

I know you'll keep bringing up Red Son but the difference is Red Son is a non canon Elseworld tale which some say is based on the Pre Crisis Supes. All these GL feats are firmly in the canon category. They happened.

Bringing up Pre-Crisis feats? GL's can go faster than light too but nice show of desperation. Guess I'll go ahead and whip out the Ion scans.

Face it, Green Lantern = Herald level. Feats prove it. Superman is a high end brick with heat vision.

btw, i dont CARE if GL is better than supes im not exactly a superman FAN myself let alone be DESPERATE for him to win. i was just making a valid point. superman is generally more powerful than any green lantern. and he proved it by defeating the entire gl corp once. flash has also gotten the better of many gl's before because of their weakness to have a HUMAN mind. i do know that photon will easily take on both hal and kyle.

How so when GL's can easily take advantage of any of Supes weaknesses? Why does everyone agree that Surfer can beat Supes by draining his solar energy and hitting him with kryptonite while GL's who have control over the EM spectrum and can also blast K-nite radiation can't beat him just the same?

If Big Barda was around I'm guessing this was during Kyle's rookie time. Obviously it wouldn't be easy for him. When someone stole Hal Jordan's ring he created K-nite and would have killed Supes if Hal didn't save him.

Really? During Sacrifice John had his ring set to fire on anyone who moved over Mach speeds. GL's auto shields have protected them from planets exploding and suns going nova and they were not KO'd. In a non PIS environment, speed blitz wouldn't work.

People need to get off Hal's nuts and realize he isn't the only one with skill. All of the Big 5 are around the same area.

photon can not beat them both alone hal is fully capable of taking genis out.quasar is more of a threat to the 2 gl the photon is.since kyle and hal are arguably the 2 best green lanterns they got this fight imo but quasar with his energy drianing abilities and photons versatility make this a tough fight.I give it 2 hal and kyle 6/10

thas cause its obvious he did, he went after it with entropy guidin him, n in the next issue, eternity was already killed. now YOU tell me, what other explanations you have for eternity being dead if genis didnt kill it cause id SERIOUSLY like to know. anyway, he battled sentry who is way above skyfather. he also killed a frost giant with a single thot which even king thor{a skyfather} could not kill, not to mention he got straight up after bein hit by a skyfather{ kingthor} and unleahsed a blast which made the skyfather fly away and distorted his face into an expression of very high pain.

it wasn't just genis, fool. entropy was powering him.

to use an old hat, aunt may being powered by entropy would do just as well.

Eternity was killed or phased out in the Big Bang, Entropy then became Eternity. The son will usurp the father or something like that. Epiphany(Eternity's daughter/Entropy's sister) later thanks Genis via cosmic nookie in a Motel 6 on Krypton.

It was Entropy's plan. Genis didn't do it by himself. Entropy laid out the ground work, and needed a massive discharge of energy to jumpstart the process which Genis provided.

Because it doesn't show him killing eternity ANYWHERE. You're just assuming he killed eternity. The way i heard he was used as a battery. So he battled Sentry.......so what? What feats does sentry have? He beats Terrax, that got his ass handed to him on a regular basis by Thanos, SS, etc. He beat Carnage, a street level guy......woah.....veeeeeeerry impressive .

Few days ago i was waiting at the barbershop to get a haircut. There was this kid running around and when i told him to behave he kicked me in the shin. Man, it really hurt. My face was "distorted into an expression of very high pain". However, i could've easily beaten the kid into a bloody pulp. See? Doesn't really matter what their face looks like.

Yeah, well, it kinda gets on my nerves from time to time. I'm gonna go read what's been posted in there since the last time i visited. Without prep however i wouldn't put it past him. You do realize Zoom made Wonder Woman crumble with one single lightspeed punch right? And then she said it's as if Superman punched her. And that was just ONE lightspeed punch. So.....i dunno......but i wouldn't be surprised if flash managed to win.

I'm pretty sure Flash can't beat Thanos but...

... Thanos had quite a difficult time agains the Runner and the only way he defeated him was using the Time Gem, at range. None of Thanos regular powers were effective against the speedster. Thanos was probably toying with him, but still, the Time gem actually beat the Runner.
