Some people just shouldn't be allowed on the road. On a 20 minute drive back from the cinema where I went to see the new Zorro film the two following events occured.
Event 1:
We're there driving along, and a white rent-a-van's coming quickly from a side road from the left, we can see it's not going to stop so we pull back slightly while it speeds out, ignoring the give way and pulling out in from of us. We then proceed to the lights, where he gets in the lane to turn right, we're in the lane for straight ahead. The lights change, we move off and he suddenly starts honking at us and barging into our lane behind us. My mum gave them the finger. They started to tailgate us, so my mum pressed the brakes, so they'ld fall back. They did and we continued on. The road was quiet and then he with no reason other than road rage, undertook us, got in front of us and put on the brakes, before speeding off.
Event 2: Further on, we're at a long queue for traffic lights, there's a small petrol station on the left. A car's there waiting to get out, for some reason honking. He was indicating to turn right. As there were oncoming cars and we really had to get home we moved forwards, as he tried to barge out, cutting him off, keep in mind that he was meant to give way to US, he then slams his hand on the horn. A variety of hand guestures was sent and we moved off. He then pulled out in front of the car behind, blocking him off while he waited for the cars to stop so he could turn right.
Some people just shouldn't be allowed on the road. The van from the first incident will be recieving a call tomorrow from the "how's my driving" people, I can tell you that.
Well that rant's made me feel better. Anyone else had any problems with road rage?
