Before I get bashed,I am serious.I was watching nightmare on elm street documentary I got on the dvd of it,they spoke about the first 3 nightmare movies, get this, They claimed that PART 2 made it in a gay magazine as one of the ''first gay horror movies'' or something like that.People were even saying the whole movie is actually disguised and is about a boy dealing with homosexuality.

After seeing this,I watched it again and can definitely see why people were saying this.........I will just say that the lead character was a male instead of a female character, and there was something very feminine about him...........I will let you guy's spot the rest big grin

Wolfie
Yeah, Wes Craven talked about that on the bonus DVD of the set. It really shows.

As you said, the main character being a guy.
The gym teacher at the gay bar and being slapped with the towel.
The best friend in his underwear in his room with the main character.

I didn't see anything in the movie about a homosexuality subplot. The character had to be girly because he was the "girl" in the movie. stick out tongue

Me laughing out loud

papabeard
Looks like we've got ourselves a couple of homophobes here sniper

zombieman
The movie is intentionally kamp in a tongue in cheek kind of way; I thought thet much was clear the first time I saw it. I don't think the director intended to make any kind of significant political statement by making the movie this way, I think he was just trying to add some humor.

b-dan
i used to think it was the worst in the nightmare flicks but now i love it dream child is the worst i founf freddys revenge had a amityville theme in it

Mandorallen
The best part of that movie:

Guy at BBQ: It's ok... We're here to help you.... It's ok....
Freddy: HELP YOURSELF ****ER!!!!

laughing out loud I can't help but burst out laughing during that part.

Wolfie
I loved it when he held his arms up and the flames from the BBQ rose. That was a great scene.

Just by looking at the E-mail "crazymoocow" I'd say about 9.

By the way, no Freddy is not real. nor is Jason, or frank the rabbit.

But Michael Jackson is real.....

if you want a horror flick that is for gays, watch childs play 3, and watch closley to the siuations that occur in the all boy military school. It felt like i was watching a gay porno at certain parts.

LizzyT123
I don't agree with the title of this thread actually, I don't think any movie is just made for gays...unless its an actual gay porno.

ragesRemorse
what about movies with story lines focusing around the lives of gay people? Surely those films are made for gay people, or for straight people to understand them

laughing out loud I will

Pandemoniac
Well, Mark Patton, who plays lead character Jesse Walsh is gay for real. Not generalising here, but it might be of some explanation to his somewhat feminine behaviour in the movie.

If you say that, would you say that movies with storylines focusing on straight people are made for straight people?

LizzyT123
I don't get it...I'm a little lost. I just don't think they made a movie JUST for homosexuals, they deffinetly could MAKE a movie about homosexuals that homosexuals and heterosexuals could both see, or bi's, and all the others smile

Wolfie
That's the point I was getting at. Sexual orientation of the characters in a movie does not determine the target audience.

LizzyT123
alright, then I agree! smile

Wow,I never knew that.............I thought he was gay though wink

LizzyT123
Hmmmmm.........I'm gonna still have to see this movie anyways though.

Wolfie
Definitely. Freddy fans shouldn't skip over any of the movies.

LizzyT123
big grin Yeah, I saw the video cassette for the second one, but I didn't check it out.......but anyways, they had some gross pics on the inside. Yeeeuck! lol

Gaetane
Do we really care if it is a gay movie????? I don't think we should be influenced by such stupid things, let's all have enough personality to decide if we like the movie itself or not.

LizzyT123
I have no problem with the movie having to do with gay issues, I really don't mind. I just looked in the cover, and I saw images like some kid's face looked stuffed with like...food or something, and it was kinda weird looking

I Love Snape
laughing i watched this movie like 20 times never seem to get bored of it laughing

and i can see what you mean

Yeah, I never knew what was up with that guy in the cafeteria scene. It was like he couldn't talk without his mouth stuffed with food.

deathbycorn
This was the first horror movie I ever saw!

papabeard
^ Me too.

There is a lot of latent homoerotic business in this film , especially in the bedroom scene when the effeminate (sic) main guy ( its usually a girl in these types of films)is moving into his room ,check out the dancing and the position of the thing he is using as a microphone, and in the wardrobe their is a game called PROBE. Then the guy gets picked up in a gay bar and the coach gets whipped naked and chained to the showers.
Also at one out he is going on about some guy being inside him. laughing

I believe on the region 1 box set he is asked about this in an interview .Turns out the director was oblivious to the homosexual innuendo, but when it was brought to his attention he agreed it was rife.

p_s_luvit1989
I dunno why I did, I just liked it. stick out tongue
~I know it sounds corny, but it's the truth~

cropsy_is_god
Lmao, this reminds me what my friend said when he was at my house. He fell asleep on the couch for a while, he sorta woke up at the bit with Lisa's party and said 'That guys wearing a poof's shirt' then fell back asleep again. Im not sure what guy he was talking about but maybe the guy was wearing a gay shirt after reading this.
