Just wondering cause they say like 1 in 4 Aus men Die of heart attacksfear

How do u know if you have one?fear

Tingling in your arm...pain in your chest, possibly tightness, I think.

Never had one so I'm just going on hearsay.

Yes, heard they do hurt....also, heard that heart failure may hurt and didn't think they would cause you're heart just stops beating...to me this seems like you'd just dizzy from lack of oxygen carried by your blood.

Symptoms of a heart attack are:
chest pain
back pain
pain or deep aching and throbbing in one or both arms
breathlessness
clammy sweating
dizziness
overwhelming sense of fear of impending death
fluid retention usually in the lower legs or ankles
fluttering, rapid heartbeats, palpitations
nausea
feeling of heaviness, tightness, or pressure-like chest pain between
the breasts that may radiate to the left arm or shoulder

My dad had one a few years ago. He said it was like having an elephant kick him in the ribs and then stand on him.

my friend uncle thought he had indegestion

My experience was that it hurts like a mother. The elephant description is a pretty good one, throw in nausea and sweating along with that. Oh and nitro gives you an instant headache.

i give u an instant head ache??

Its possible to have a heart attack and not even know it. Sure is.....It's not discovered until an autopsy is done...many have minute heart attacks...Everytime a person has a little one, it leaves scares on the heart muscle.

So how many of you have had elephants standing on your chests? Or kicking you?

The answer is none, isn't it? So I'm curious as to how you know that this is a similar feeling.

i have twice. The way i figure it is heart attacks cant hurt too much as hearts dont have arms, however armed with a hammer maybe....

My aunt had a heart attack, all that happened is she fell unconsicous.

Oh sheesh AC. Ive had a heart attack and NO Ive never had an actual elephant on my chest. I can only tell you its a crushing kind of feeling. K?

you know because, its obvious your chest tightens and you feel pain in the chest and pain going up your arm. Along with the other symptoms. Its not like your gonna get all these pains and be like "yeah, this is normal". Its just something most people realize, Unfortunately they can come on so fast not everyone can call for help.

Yes there hurt..I have witness my late father having one..

I was watching an oprah (sp?) on heart attacks, and boy was it scary!...That's all I can say...they showed what happened to a heart when it had one, and it swelled up to like 1.7 times it's size!!!!!!! ...We solved the "chest pain mystery"
